18 year old Male with PUFFY Nipples?

Hi, I'm an 18 year old Male and I've had this problem for quite a while now and it's really embarrassing. From around the age of 10 my nipples have gotten increasingly puffier over the years and I have no idea why. I'm not over weight though i could lose a few pounds... but I've never seen this on any of my friends even if they are really overweight. Can someone please tell me what this is? I feel so uncomfortable having my shirt off and going to the beach or anywhere else for that matter and when I have on a shirt it's really noticeable. What I find weird about it thought is that if I take a cold shower or something they shrink and look normal. I've done a bit of research and the closest thing I can come up with is "Gynecomastia" please help me.

I’m in the same boat as you man. I have quite a sporty physique but for some reason my nips are rather puffy, it’s extremely annoying

It's perfectly normal guys, I do have too, but my doctor says almost 20% of the men have this "puffy nipple syndrome"

I’ve seen meny men shirtless while swimming and in the changing rooms of gyms and I have never once seen nipples quite as puffy as that, so maybe not 20% of men, but do they inflate and deflate?

Sort of. Say like if I take a cold shower or something or the air becomes cold they will shrink and look normal but shortly after they turn back like how they are in the picture.

Yeah I think this is Gynecomastia. The fix is plastic surgery (pretty minimally invasive) but there's not much you can do. It is quite normal though. I know it is embarrassing :/

I think the only thing that could be done is plastic surgery. The glands underneath the nipples have to be removed. But hey ultimately it’s your body and you’ll do what makes you happy. I think it looks just fine.

See an endocrynologist to check your hormones status. It might be a symptom of gynecomastia, which some guys suffer from. Most causes are obesity, or hormonal imbalances (more estrogen than testosterone). Since you are not overweight, it could be hormonal imbalance but only tests can prove that.

i have healthy testoterone level and i am still getting it on right side nipple. it is normal and reaction to heat. be cold.

that is purely normal as it is part and parcel of puberty. they will come back to normal after 19 years or so. do not worry.

I think it's becoming more common. Some of the current generation of adolescents and young men have something similar - they have actual breast development. Many people are saying it is from the hormones given cows to make them generate more milk. Boys drink this milk, and there's your results!

But as to specifically puffy nipples, I have a feeling the girls in your life will love them just the way they are. They may feel a bit of solidarity, or maybe they'll just be plain-old attracted to your nipples.

Personally, I wouldn't have the surgery. Furthermore, I wouldn't try to find shirts that hide them, wear jackets or anything like that. Be proud. Be a man You may find that by proudly being who you are, showing what you have, your sex life will be better than average, not worse.

Im done my nipples are puffy just like this and i know ot is not gyno but nobody says anything else

I have even had to go to the length of putting tap on them to hide it

It may not be that big of a challenge to just "punch" someone who makes fun of it

But when you 5'5" 15 years old like me then you are just a short puffy nipple bitch

I am thinking about committing suicide and don't see the point to life anymore

I am smart and could be successful but none of this matters if i do not like myself

I am insecure to the point of no return i hopefully i can get a chance to die soon

Dude dont ever say something like that. I understand where youre coming from but you have to remember that everyone has their flaws. You have to begin to love yourself just like i did. Gain some confidence in yourself man. And this minor problem can always be corrected in the future as it is a simple fix. Never feel like suicide is the answer because its not. Life is too precious man. Just try to look at things more positively and surround your self with people and things that make you happy man. Things will get much better i can guarantee that. Just keep pushing forward because you have a bright future ahead of you.

I have to be honest, I'm a mom and I came on here searching to help my son who is 18 and this made me so sad reading this. You are only 15 and you will grow taller. You haven't hit your growth spurt yet. Plus, as someone else said, if you feel very upset about this minor "issue" than it can be corrected with minor surgery. Please, I am asking you to seek out help. At the very least, talk to a doctor about how you are feeling mentally and physically as you are worthwhile. Please seek out help and guidance. Life is worth living. It is hard, yes, it is far from perfect, yes, sometimes it down right sucks, yes but death is FINAL and think about those you would be leaving behind, they WILL mourn you. You will be missed, even if you don't think you will. You will be hurting those people that love you. If you cannot bring yourself to care about yourself, care about them.

I have the same problem one day my friend and I were messing around when he gave me a purple nurple and I felt my nipple and noticed that there was a clearing liquid that came out. Has this happened to you as well?

Me too they started swelling at the age of 12 but doc advised me not to squeze them they shrink back to normal

Yeah they going to shrink back after like a ton of years. I think i might still have them fixed cosmetically though. Even though some may say its not worth it, i think it is. That picture is a bit old and since then i lost about 25 pounds(185 down to 160) and it still looks the same. Besides, the surgery is minimally invasive so i would most likely recover with little to no scarring.

Um no they dont look normal when i "squish" them. Only if i take a cold shower or something or if I'm just cold in general.

Nope, not any surgical solution at least. I just exercised and it reduced it a bit being that my chest is a bit more defined now but its not completely gone. Ive just kind of come to accept it.

Bro I’m in the same place and I know how to fix it. All need is to get you some abs and the chest has to be on point like you have to be fit than it won’t even be noticeable

Hello Steve, I had the same problem when I was 14. I was actually developing breasts like a teenage girl. I finally got the nerve to confront my parents. My dad took me to a doctor. The doctor checked my penis, retracted my foreskin, and felt my testicles. The doctor concluded that I had "Gynecomastia" and that I would out grow it which I did.

Yeah I was also told I had gynecomastia. I don’t let it bother me now. It doesn’t look as bad as it did in that picture now anymore because I started to go to the gym and my chest has taken some shape.
