Ripped stitch after circumcision HELP

On the under side of my penis a stitch has broken 😳 it bled for about a minute, not much blood but still worrying. There’s a small gap between the 2 bits of skin no more than a centimetre wide, will it heal by itself???

I should probably be a bit more specific as “no more than a centimetre” isn’t really helpful. 2-3 millimetres would be a fair guess I think

Don't panic mate. If it's just one stitch you shouldn't have any issue, especially with such a minor bleed.

It should close up by itself.

Thank you 😅 any chance you’d know if a normal bath would do any harm or not? Probably not but tbh I’m shitting myself so taking every precaution

I had salt baths almost daily from 48 hours post op.

I shouldn't imagine it will do any harm. Just be gentle and dry it thoroughly.

Salt will help it heal if you chuck a good couple of handfuls in your bath.

Hmmm what kinda salt are we talking about? 😂 I’ve got salt to go on chips but that’s about it and I’m guessing it’s not that salt

That's fine. I used table salt.

I used to put half a drum of table salt in each bath.

Go back to the doctor to get it fixed.

No worries mine did the same. Many stitches pulled out and it healed well where they did.
