Hi guys. I had circumcision around 2 weaks back. There less pain now while changing mushroom dressing but there is still lot of redness and swelling under the head of the penis. And a littel bit bleeding is still there.

And while peeing urin somehow goes to the dressing which is irritating. What should i do and is it normal ?

The advice I was given was not to use a dressing. I removed it about 8 hours after the operation and I could see that urine was seeping into the bandage which would only be a haven for bacteria. I wore underwear with a melolin low adhesive dressing just to line the underwear and stop blood getting onto clothing. Wash the penis in salt water twice a day to promote healing. Use an antibiotic ointment to prevent infection and cold compresses on any areas of swelling.

You really shouldn't be using dressing when two weeks after the circumcusion Oo. The dressing is there for 24h or 48h max. After that your penis should be "free". The only thing you can do is use a gauze with vaseline on your head when moving around in your pants as to reduce friction.

Other than that, don't use a dressing on it.

I’ve been wrapping a roll up gauze around mine to go about my business and move around to be in less pain. You’re saying i should cover it up at all?

What you can do, is put a gauze in your underwear with vaseline on it, so when your head rubs against your underwear it is not so discomforting.

The only reason you keep a dressing on your penis post OP is to keep it "together" and initially protect the wound. After it comes up, it is more hygenic and better to keep the dressing off, as all the sweat and onther stuff can get in the bandage and stay there which isn't ideal. I don't know how often you change it, but unless it is after every urination or more physically demanding activity I wouldn't put the dressing on and just let it "breathe". After the initial dressing its better for the penis to be "exposed" on air etc.

So cover up the head is fine, don't wrap the whole penis in a dressing is what I am saying.
