Semen too green after storing it

Hello everyone, I am a 16 year old boy.

I am very worried at the moment because of the colour of my semen. Yesterday I had the crazy idea to try storing my semen in a plastic bottle out of scientific curiosity, just to see what would happen. I did it and now, after 24 hours I looked at the bottle and it had turned green. I thought to myself that it must be natural so I continued the experiment and ejaculated again in the bottle. I have to say that when I opened the bottle, the smell was unbareable and I had never smelled anything so bad in my life. Only 5 minutes after the second ejaculation the semen in the bottle turned even more disturbingly green. I really mean green like a highliter. (I have pictures if necessary). I have read that it may be a prostate infection of a UTI. Let me add that I have never had sex so it would be extremely unlikely that I have a STD. And also, usually when I ejaculate, it comes out white sometimes just a little yellow.

If anyone knows anything about it, please help me. I'm as worried about having a problem as I'm worried about telling my parents

Was it green when you ejaculated? If not then it could simply be the semen breaking down. If it was green when it came out I'd go see a doc to be safe.

No it is usually very white and clear when I ejaculate. Only, the colour was really green, so green that it seemed unnatural

Interesting scientific research. Do you have another sample to compare it to how that looked after 24h as you "know" it was "too green"?

Semen is not really meant to be stored it ... dies/decays rather quickly. That is why in sperm bank they keep the frozen and not just laying around in bottles.

Yes I know it decays quickly, but in my case in just 5-10 minutes it had turned highlighter green. And no, I don't have any other sample, the smell and colour of this experiment don't really make me want to do it again

Hi there. I'm 52 and 2 nights ago I ejaculated in a big plastic empty water bottle in order not2leave a mess. 6hours later when I woke up the semen was luminescent green yes-and the smell horrendous. Came out normally though. I've had 3 experiences in the past year where my semen actually came with blood-got the fright of my life and yes I also tested it with a urine dipstick-+ for blood! My prostate PSA test was in the "normal range" but I've been suffering from the most horrendous debilitating lowerback pain. Could be something in my urethras(Ihad kidney stone in 2001 in Germany which ruined my holiday and was hospitalized for 3 days). Scared it might be prostrate related, since my grandad died of it. My semen is often lumpy and yellow as well. Doesn't seem right.

I understand I am very late to the conversation but I find myself wondering if you ever figured out what was the cause of this?
