Circumsision Questions

Gents,

I had an appointment with my Urologist yesterday to confirm my need to a Circumsision. I’ve done all of my Pre-Operative checks and they are happy to go forward with the procedure.

With that in mind I have a few questions:

1) how long do you have to wait based on your own experience(s) from the appointment with your Urologist to the actual surgery?

2) I have been told I will be put under a general anaesthetic, is there anything I need to be aware of regarding that?

3) I’m very needlefobic, how many needles will need to be given to me e.g. injections etc.

4) I can get a week off work, is that enough time to recover? My job mainly involved sitting down.

Why are you considering this?

1) 1.5 weeks.

2) Don’t eat or drink 12 hours prior. Your urologist will go over this with you.

3) I was given the general anesthetic mask, the nurse put one needle in me (barely felt it) then I blinked and woke up with the surgery all over. Don’t stress. Just focus on breathing and don’t look at the needle it’s over very quickly + it wasn’t a big needle at all.

4) It honestly depends on your personal preference and how you feel post surgery. However, I’d say 1 week off work should be sufficient as you are mostly sitting.

(I had surgery 12 days ago)

Nothing scary. Follow Surgeon. One week ok
