Hi I'm just wondering I had a vasectomy nearly 3 years ago and wondered if would need a sperm check or can I ask for a sperm check from my GP

Once you've had a clear sample that's it done. No need to keep checking although there is a small failure rate

I agree with previous answer. Mine was nearly 12 years ago now with no problems. I think your GP can refer you to the clinic that carried out the procedure if you are concerned.

A vasectomy prevents the release of sperm when a man ejaculates. You will produce semen but no sperm.

So unless you seriously think your vasectomy was performed improperly, there's no need visit your GP. Your semen will contan NO sperm.
