Is this a good sperm count ?

I'm 20 yo and I was diagnost with mild varicocele in the left testicule some months ago and this was my first semen analysis.

Volume: 6,7ml

17,040,000 per ml

127,800,000 in total

85% alive, 15% dead.

11% normal, 89 not normal.

75% progressive motility, 13% not progressive, 12% does not move.

Is this a good sperm count ?

Have you spoken to your doctor or specialist about this?

Yes, he told me that its all ok and that i need to do this exam every year.

As my friend said when I had similar worry growing up “all it takes is one. The rest are like front line guards who fall at the gate.” Lol.

If the numbers get too low, i may need a surgery.

What surgery? Didn’t know there was one that could change the count.

I imagine it’s fine, as others say it only takes one sperm to fertilise an egg... my sperm count was ‘normal’ and took 4 years to conceive our first, it’s all relative to do with the time, the partner etc
