What a worl wind. Not been fun. Infection, panic attacks, new sores, bleeding and a diagnosis. Panic, stress and worry a regular occurrence usually following the above.

Made almost daily trips to minor injuries, docs and got my physio referral appointment got a few exercises but I'm on a waiting list for further physio.

Minor injuries trip 1. Bladder infection ruled out with urine sample, following tests Prescribed antibiotics for 7 days for the infection seems to have taken effect, stitching area looking a better colour (blackish/pinkish)not yellow and oozing and no infection odour.

Minor injuries trip 2 following new sore appearing at random, had to get my nob out again Infront of nurse to check wounds 😱my girlfriend was there too for support but this made it all the more embarrassing and surreal. The nurse had no clue what it should look like at this stage and gave some controversial advice "scrub the stitching to remove infected scabs" I did not do this although tried gently with gauze in shower, and decided to use gauze to dry after washing as always sterile. she didn't think much to worry about but later found out it was ...

Trip 3 Attempted gp appointment but turned out to be another nurse who I had to show nob aswell 😱 much better advice this time, although she attempted to sterristrip strip the new wound to try close it but the strip it didn't stay on long, she gave me loads of gauze for wound care and told me wound could be serious and encouraged me to make more attempts to see GP, glad I did as I think find out what's going .... She also told me how to get physio referral which I now have sorted.

Trip 4, finally saw GP. He revealed that I had been diagnosed with BXA following a biopsy they did on my foreskin following Circumcision, funnily enough circumcision is a cure for BXA 🤞 told this will be the reason for the new sores is the BXA still present (I have heard from n some cases can reocour but hopefully this won't persist, heard often does for 3 months or so) prescribed steroid cream to treat, 🤞 so far it has helped the surrounding sore skin which was getting sore and the main big sore seems to be reducing, I will keep posted on this as sores that don't heal can be Cancer 🤢 so I am monitoring closely I know this is unlikely and I can't expect the wound to heal overnight but I'm so scared how big it got for what seemed to be no reason, anyway good sign it seems to be reducing and glad to know the reason rather than still worrying. Sick note all sorted for work so I can focus on getting better and not worrying about an imminent return, hopefully sort out ammened duties to help recovery at work on return. I had hoped to return to work after 2 weeks max like the post opp aftercare had thought, but going to need longer, it's seems bad to me how they don't properly prepare you for how hard the recovery will be, it gets sore easily and if you have a physical job don't expect to rush back, remote work would be okay I think and desk job may be ok but just being in trousers more than a few hours a day is causing irritation at this stage. Going to have to figure out underwear and walking the long distances without irritation, advice appreciated. So far I have found baggy underwear, and seemless tight ones, I have bought a sport guard protecting and contemplating wrapping gauze if needed.

Other than all this there has been a few occasions where there has been a fair bit of bleeding from the stitching areas and the new wound but it never persisted long. Is bleeding normal? Anyone has bleeding during recovery? Anyone got any experience knowledge of adjusted recovery for BXA following Circumcision? Anyone has the sores? Physio moves for sciatica while I wait for the next stage?

Thank you for sharing your healing story up to now, hopefully the coming weeks will see you get some serious healing time under your belt. Take the time you have to rest up and ignore all the medical documents about where you should be and focus on where you are. You got this, we're all here.

jeez, makes my recovery look like plain sailing. Hopefully once the infection is taken care of you should be on the path to recovery.

I was given antibiotic gel to put on the stitches and wound for the first week, wondering if that might help too?

I found that by the end of week 2 things suddenly improved with sensitivity, feels normal now at week 3 plus 4 days now.

I realise you’re journey is different, just got fingers crossed things improve.

Wow you hit the jackpot with the sensitivity... I'm 2.5 weeks post surgery and I still have a lot of sensitivity! Just waiting for it to go
