Hypersensitivity post circumcision

Today is 4 weeks after my circ, no infections, all the stitches have come out, but the hypersensitivity is crazy, can’t even wear pants without gauze and Vaseline ... how long did it take for you guys for the hypersensitivity to leave? I know every one is different, some sooner and some later but it’s still irritating ... I guess it’s gotten somewhat better since post op day 1 but still it’s really sensitive

Absolutely dry head of the penis. No vaseline, no ointment. Loose undrwear. Your brain with loose shorts getting used to faster.

I’m just trying to put my dick in my underwear raw and walk around at home, I’ll have to try and sleep like this and hope it makes it better

The worst is change moist glans and dry glans. Then the sensitivity is still high. The brain is not getting used to it, the brain is just only confused .

Good for you that you didn’t get an infection. I did. Thankfully it isn’t painful

Yea lucked out, I was diligent from day one with changing the bandages and using neosporin

Hi, you have to just bear it you will need to let the glans dry out it's the only way to desensitize. during the day at work you could wrap it in some dry dressing to make it more comfortable. Good luck Man

Yea I’m at home tonight and I’m trying to just let it run against underwear but I’m walking real slow but mostly sitting lol

I'm a couple of days behind you, but you're going to have to try and get used to the sensitivity. I'm on Day 17 and when I'm out and about, I wear fairly tight Jockey underwear with my penis facing upwards ... this results in limited friction. At home and for the time being, I either wear no underwear, or walk around naked. My doctor advised me, that after the initial 48 hours, not to wrap my penis in gauze, or anything ... only apply an aqueous cream if the penis head gets dry, which I haven't had to use as yet. I'm getting used to the sensitivity and as a result thereof, love being circumcised ... in time, you will get used to it too. Good luck.

After how many days did your stitches dissolve, or fall out?

Yea I had been leaving it all out naked when I was home every day I was off that first month, now I’m just forcing myself to wear underwear at home when I’m off, I’ll be home for the next few days so hopefully it gives me a chance to make some headway ... first stitch fell out that first night and from then on one every 1-2 days after that until al were out little before 3 weeks,

Thank you for your response, re: the stitches. I'm coming up for three weeks on Friday, so really hoping that all the stitches would have dissolved/fallen out by then. I've also had no infection, so feeling pleased and also with the results so far. Take care.

By now u can start pulling on them if they’re poking out, if they easily slide out then good, but if it tugs and kinda hurts try again ina. Day or 2
