Penis gland still sensitive 4 months after circumcision

Hello, I was circumcised in September due to my phimosis. I had never seen my gland before then. The doctor told me that I should be fine after 6 weeks post op. However it has been almost 5 months now. And my gland is still very sensitive. I can touch it but any rubbing action on the head will make me cringe from pain. How can I reduce the sensitivity? Will it still reduce normally?

Please do not get anxious over this. I still get sore and I was circumcised as an infant. I am 32 years old now. Try using extra virgin unrefined organic coconut oil. It has done wonders for me. Just place it all over your penis. It will also keep your penis healthy.

Do you have any burning sensations?

I don’t have any burning sensations unless I rub the gland. Then it feels like friction burn. I can tap it without pain though

You are using lubrication to masturbate I take it? Dry wanking for me causes this.

I’m in the same boat still sensitive after 4 months having a circumcision due to phimosis. It’s getting better, and the worst part is the new skin stretching as I believe was cut too tight and didn’t let skin enough to stretch when erect. I wear a sports cup when I work to hold my stuff in place. I’m ready to go back to normal hopefully I will start getting more active and start touching it more even though there’s still sensitivity issues.

Yea my skin is not too tight. I also got my frenulum cut at the same time so the bad of the penis even has a little extra skin. I hope the sensitivity goes away with time.

It took 5 months for me. I used to wrap it in gauze during work hours and then walk around at home in boxers.

Then 4 months in I decided to drop the gauze and wear briefs to keep it all still when walking and working.

I wore the briefs for two weeks and then changed to boxers and pants at work.

Has been ok ever since.

Rubbing on Coconut oil at night time also made it less sensitive with time.

Good luck.

I removed the gauge at around two months because it wasn’t that uncomfortable as long as I wore tight underwear that kept it from moving. However for me the gland still remains sensitive to any rubbing motion. I will try the coconut oil, thanks.

I have already bought bio oil that I use for the scar. Do you think it is okay to put that on the gland too?

It is safe as houses but will prolong the sensitivity not reduce it.
