Circumcision done by Laser.

After a couple of years worth of issues with Phimosis and BXO I decided to get a circumcision. I searched online for weeks and decided that the Laser method would be the best for me and my situation. I met with the Doctor, I went private btw, and he talked me through the whole process and answered all my questions.

So one Saturday morning I spent 30 minutes in his surgery and the deed was done. He explained the methods of cleaning I had to follow, when I could start showering and other important details. It's now day 5 and it has healed up nicely. There is little or no blood on my bandages overnight, although night time erections are a nightmare, and my glans look considerably better than they did right after the treatment. The sensitivity issue is a bit of a pain though, but I understand that this is something that will pass in time. If you have a pad, or bandage against your glands and you can stop it moving, the pain is greatly reduced.

Thinking about how to alleviate this I bought a groin protector like boxers or MMA fighters use. This has been a great help in making things more comfortable when moving. Fitting a pad in the cup and applying ELMA cream on my glans, it didn't take long to notice the benefit.

If you are experiencing hyper sensitivity you may find this information helpful.

Laser surgery? Wow, had no idea. Is this done on the NHS and what is the difference between the standard procedure? Also, is it true there are twenty thousand nerve endings in the foreskin so removing this significantly removes sensation when climaxing ect?

I live in Ireland and Ihad it done privately. It cost €1750 which includes having the foreskin sent to a laboratory for analysis, it could be cancerous. I can't answer your question regarding how many nerve endings there are, but I can tell you that every touch of material on my glans is hard to deal with.

I live in Canada but had mine done in the USA and I was surprised when I discovered the surgeon was going to use a laser not a scalpel. It was quick and painless in the clinic (but pain came on day three, slowly abating over the next week or so), I can recommend the laser method.
