Sensitive Glans

I am eight weeks post-op. My surgeon told me to use Vaseline on the glans and over the incision. I did that but stopped a week ago. I never asked him how long to apply the Vaseline, but I thought 7 weeks was enough. The glans are still sensitive to rubbing on my underwear, but I think that will be a longterm issue. Anyway, have any of you used a lube long-term?

It's still sensitive because you've been over protecting it, sorry. Unfortunately, there's only one way for it to get used to it's new state and that's exposure to friction. But it will, I promise

How much sensetive your glans now it's completely gone or have some sensitivity

Have to agree with Ben. I only used Vaseline on the incision while it healed. Apart from that I just tried to go about as normally as possible although it was uncomfortable sometimes. Unfortunately you have to tough it out to desensitise the glans

Hi Diabetic71, sorry your going through this, I think personally that vaseline is to heavy, try just normal lubricant (Ky gel) and aso try wearing loose pants to try and eliminate the rubbing, hope this works for you

The glans is not normally exposed to rubbing against clothes. It will be sensitive until it becomes calloused.

Do not use Vaseline . Use coconut oil and massage it for a month . You wil see result. I also suffer from this

It will help when you become accustomed to touch but like Aujlasingh I use Coconut oil.

The first week I used Bio oil.
