Post circumcision sensitivity with redness and irritation on glans

Hi, I am 39 and had circumcision 3 weeks back because of balanoposthitis. For first 2 weeks post circumcision everything was fine but after that I experienced the skin sensitivity with some darkness/redness and very sensitive to touch on the right glans. There is no discharge or lesion. Does anyone had any similar experience and what may be the reason and solution. Please help!

Hi, if things have disimproved you should go to your doctor for a check-up it does look to be irritated.

Did the Balanitis start clearing up or is it the same? Have same problem here.

It seemed to have cleared up after the circumcision but after 2 weeks, balanitis or some infection seemed to have come back and its hurting on touch. Did you get yourself checked or any more findings or improvement you have had.

No std found. Said I have hpv just like 85% of population. Dermatologist did skin biopsy & said it’s lichen planus. So it dribbles from tip & im thinking it’s bacteria build up so want to get circumcised.

My histology result said Balanoposthitis but it should be cleared up after circumcision. I am crossing fingers and showing it to my doc today, hope nothing serious comes out. Sometimes I feel that why I have been picked up by god for this inspite of the fact that I have always maintained good hygiene and always stood and clean after sex. But still getting this. What is your age ? All the best in your recovery.

Keep me posted.In US & flying to Delhi for zsr. I feel the same way but we are fighters so stay strong! Im 46 & just got it in May this year.

Wish you luck on your procedure. I just now came back from doc and thank god, he examined it carefully and said this is nothing and just post op effects because of it exposed to clothes and rubbing. He assured me of not worrying and just keep a good hygiene and that's it. Thanks to god, I am relieved now. Let me know for any help if I can extend, I stay in gurgaon and work here. Good luck.

Thank a ton man!! Might need someone to talk to when I’m there. A piece of advice Stop worrying all the time. Stay mentally strong & keep yourself busy. Live your life as nothing happened & start talking to chics out there!

Where doctor did you go to get zsr done & where are they located?Are u happy with the results?

I went to Artemis hospital in sec 51 gurgaon..I am happy with the results now..
