Sensitivity of glans

Hi. It's been 5 weeks since circumcision and everything has been healed except for the glans sensitivity and I am not able to wear underwear due to that sensitive part, so what should I do in order to get used to this feeling and feel like nothing has happened. Please do reply. Thank you.

It's the worst part man specially if your glans wasn't exposed before.

It will take few more weeks to months to get keratinized.

Here are few tips to reduce it-

Dip it in warm water, try to pour water on it slowly and then from a height till the point it doesn't hurt.

Try to touch it more, ofcourse it will hurt initially so you can use coconut oil and massage it slightly for 20-30 mins twice daily.

If possible, leave it open and stay naked and air it out. You can use blower/dryer as well.

Take vitamin e and B complex supplements.

Alternatively, you can use a cotton cap and gauze and tape it up before wearing underwear. It will minimize discomfort.

Use lignocaine spray, it will numb it for few hours.

The dryer it gets, the less sensitive it becomes.

I know its a very difficult phase, even I am facing this but it's getting better.

It takes quite a lot of time and you have to remain patient.

Than you for this information and I was so stressed about it but now I feel relieved. And when was your circumcision done?

I understand after my stapler circumcision I was very stressed for first three weeks till the silicon ring came off

Dont be stressed at all after 5 weeks we get used to it , in few more weeks you will be perfect .Just keep applying Lookman hayatoil, argan oil and bio oil , pure coconut oil is also good . we will get used to the sensitivity.

Its been 6 weeks for me now i workout and carry out regular activities without any problem . if you still feel stressed message me here

I had stapler circumcision 6 weeks ago

I agree with you , my silicon ring came off after 21 days , after that i have been using oil(Argaan oil ,bio oil and lookman hayat oil) and then bandage with gauze till my 5th week . Now since last 10 days I have been applying silicon anti scar tape day time only on the thin scar and night time i apply oil and sleep without inner wear ..

I am used to wearing inner wearing without any bandage , ofcourse slight sensitivity is there but I got used to it . I heard silicon anti scar tape helps flatten out the scar.

though now I am bored of the extra care i used to take now I just apply little oil twice a day

Many similar questions on here. Tight underwear definitely helps, less movement = less pain. Slowly introduce touch, the spray from the shower, a little at a time, then soft clothes. It can take time but it does get better.

It's been 6 weeks and in the 6th week I was able to wear a tight underwear with no dressing / bandages and been able to move freely but yes it takes time to get used to this feeling, but the way it's progressing I am very happy to see that.I just wanted to ask that if I have to resume my gym training should I wait for 2 or 3 weeks more?

I would wait a bit longer, you do not want to strain anything. When you do, take it slow and build yourself up.

Recommendation is to wait six weeks. I would take that as a minimum.

The feeling will improve, it just takes time. Slowly introduce touch to the head to 'acclimatise' your penis.

I started using coconut oil. It feels better. But i am not sure if this technique will help the desensitizing, since glans now get used to moisture with coconut oil... Should not be the opposite to leave it dry out and get used to dry environment?

Its normal bro, it will go away eventually, you just have to get used to it touching the fabric of your clothes more often to de-sensitise it.
