Super Sensitive Penis Glans

I'm currently 19 and because of phimosis I wasn't able to retract my foreskin until last year. My glans are too painful to even touch when exposed, l've been spraying water at it with a soft spray bottle for a couple days to try reducing sensitivity. Does anyone know if this method is effective? If it isn't what are other methods or medications I can take besides bearing the pain?

Hello! I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Am I right in understanding that you haven't been circumcised, but have (somehow) managed to retract your foreskin recently for the first time? If so, your glans is being exposed for the first time ever, and will be sensitive until it settles down, but shouldn't really be painful. If you do feel pain, I suggest that you do go to a doctor. Don't be embarrassed, doctors see all sorts of things every day, and will be very matter-of-fact about it!

If what you are feeling is just extreme sensation from your newly exposed glans, I doubt that spraying water on it will help - the best treatment is probably just allowing time for the skin on your glans to adapt to being exposed - it will settle over time. Maybe have it exposed some of the time, and roll your foreskin back over for some of the time - let your glans adapt gently.

I’ve had this problem my whole life. Im 34 now and scheduled in for a circumcision in around 5 weeks.

You can get stretching kits (phimorings? Something like that) and stretching tools (glansie) but they take real persistence and mental strength to do. I gave up because I’m super weak.

There’s no reason your glans should stay sensitive after exposure but I personally found exposure to be something that mentally, I just couldn’t make myself do. So it’s the chop and I’ll just be forced to suffer the discomfort.

From all the posts I’ve read here, it improves relatively quickly in the grand scheme of things and sex life improves drastically 👌

Try the stretching aids first if you can… if they work for you, having a slacker phimotic ring will naturally cause gentle exposure. Then just get used to the sensation during sex and you’re golden

Sorry did I mis-read… have you already stretched enough to have it exposed both flaccid and erect?

I’m only able to retract when flaccid

The sensitivity is almost certainly due to exposure and regular gentle touching should help to overcome this. However if you can't pull back once erect and stretching hasn't worked I suggest you go see Dr

The foreskin is only meant to be retracted temporarily, eg so that the aim is better when peeing. Make sure you return the foreskin back to cover the glans and it will then be protected from rubbing against your clothing. As we age, sensitivity gets much less, so I wouldn't recommend doing anything to try to decrease sensitivity. Regular masturbation is probably the best thing to do, using the foreskin to roll back and forward over the glans using saliva or lube to help ease it during the movement. This will also help keep the foreskin stretched and naturally able to return forward to cover the glans without getting stuck behind the corolla.

Go and see your GP and ask for a 100gram tube of Betamethasone . This is a topical steroid cream which will ease the soreness and in some cases soften the foreskin enough to fully retract it . Good luck ;)
