Hey Rnjack, sorry you are going through this, best thing to do is to keep it clean and when I spoke to my pharmacy about it he suggested to me Canesten cream, I know your thinking now that its a ladies thing, but trust me it works, the cream is an antibacterial and it does work, give it a go its certainly worth a try. hope this helps and good luck

A single bout of balanitis can often be cured with an anti-fungal cream like Canestan. However, balanitis (inflammation of the glans) can be of viarl or bacterial origin and only tests by a doctor will determine which.

Applying the cure for the wrong sort of infection will not cure it and may actually allow it to get worse as friendly bacteria etc may be killed of, leaving more room for the other type to grow.

Persistent balanitis will probably need circumcision to permanently remove the breeding ground that is under every foreskin.
