Recovery from Circumcision/Balanitis. hey guys, I had a circumcision 4 weeks ago and since a couple of days ago this white texture start to fall down from my penis after I clean it with water, now I have a red spot, I have no pain or anything else is coming out. I’m just worry, last time I went to the doctor, he said everything was going well, he also gave me a cream for skin regeneration. Thanks in advance

Hi Man, it could be your glans skin drying out. It does look inflamed and some discolouration did you have any condition before your circumcision like lichen sclerosis if it doesn't clear I would go back to your doctor to have it checked.

Hey MrMac, thanks for your reply I actually had Balanitis that’s why I had a circumsicion, went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and he told me everything was going well, gave some cream to help the skin recover. Have an appointment in 1 week, just wanted to ask for an opinion if something serious.

I Don't think it's serious. does it look like skin flaking it's probably your glans drying out. do you have much sensitivity with your glans touching clothes. I would have a checked though in case there's something else going on.

Try using coconut oil on your glans. This will help reduce inflammation

Thanks for the tip. You think I should also use a gaze to protect the inflamed area?

Definitely. Put the coconut oil followed by wrapping gauze around it in a looser fashion to make sure you still have healthy blood flow followed by some medical tape.

That must have been painful to have balanitis.

Hey, thanks for replying. By coconut oil, you mean the liquid/transparent one or the one that is more like a cream/white?

Make sure it is organ extra virgin coconut oil that is free from artificial preservatives and flavors. Also make sure it is non-GMO and unrefined. Depending on the humidity the coconut oil I buy can be solid or liquid.

Thanks for the information. Made an appointment with my doctor later this week, do you think using a gaze to protect the inflamed area is a wise thing? Currently I’m applying Bepanthen, doctor gave it to me 2 weeks ago.

I think it’s because they did not remove enough foreskin. Once you have one of these foreskin conditions, they generally need to remove more tissue.
