Hello guys, Wanted to know if Circumcision cures Recurring Balanitis or Balanopothisis?
Balanitis Circumcision : Hello guys... - Men's Health Foru...
Balanitis Circumcision
Yes,along with phimosis it’s the most common reason for circumcision and is usually successful in eliminating it,however it’s always best to go the non surgical option if possible.Your doctor will definitely prescribe antibiotic creams etc to see if topical remedies or increased hygiene regime work for you first before going the circ option, what has your doc recommended?
It certainly should if the creams don't work first.
It does! I actually got circumcised because of it, cause I got balanitis 3 times in 5 years, and I was always careful to be really clean and keep everything healthy, but still got it.
I got the surgery one year ago, and haven’t had any problem since.
My doctor told me that it was the best solution, cause even though the creams did their job, he told me that on the long term, using those creams could have secondary effects and get you some other troubles.
The surgery is kind of hard, but it’s worth it.
Hope that helps.
I would avoid the c word at all costs there is no going back if anything goes wrong physically or psychologically imo
Sometimes Balanitis is unable to be treated with creams etc and circumcision IS the only option that will provide a permanent solution and relieve the misery and discomfort.
Take into account that the foreskin is an exogenous part of the penis that works in unison with the glans penis. Ask any doctor how much sensitivity you can loose due to C. As a persentage, I bet they wouldn't commit to an answer.. sensitivity loss for me and many other men has been severe with side effects like seriously reduced sexual attraction, difficulty even masterbating ect. Proper fucked my head up. On antidepressants for 3 years since the op. Obviously I would use cream in your situation. Just being objective from an experienced stand point. It's not just a flap of skin and its definitely supposed to be there.... My surgery was not botched and healed quickly, I had a partial circumcision
Not necessarily. It has been know to recur at the scar line ... so then what do you do?
It will cure the balanitis but check non surgical options first.
Nit why I had it done but it certainly cured mine
Circumcision will not, of itself cure balanitis/balanoposthitis. However by eliminating the warm, dark, moist area under the foreskin where the bacteria or fungi breed, the infection is much easier to control with relevant creams.
Once cured, the infection is very unlikely to ever recur, unlike the situation with a foreskin.
