Swelled up tissue (sensitive/painful erections) after circumcision

Hi guys,

I'm 14 days out from surgery and stitches have been falling out slowly and for the post surgery follow up the doc/surgeon said it was healing up nicely. My main worry is that there is this side lump/bump on the shaft below the stitches. The lump/bump is sensitive when I gently massage it and it honestly feels like this clump of swelled tissue. The worst part is that when I have an erection it hurts like crazy on that specific lump.

Doc/Surgeon said it's just post surgery swelling...but it's been 14 days and it has reduced in size somewhat, but did anybody else experience this? and if so, what happened to it?

You are being a bit impatient. Swelling post surgery rarely disappears in 2 weeks. If it is reducing then you are heading in the right direction.

haha yeahhh you're definitely right and that's what the surgeon said too. I just miss the erections without the pain. How long would you say it'd take for the swelling to diminish completely?

Every guy heals at different speeds so it is impossible to say.

I had a firm lump on the shaft after my circ. Doctor said it was cauterized veins. Lasted a couple months but it did eventually fade.

Yeah! That's what I had read online, but when I asked the doc/surgeon about it he said that he didn't have to do anything like that on a vein for my circ ... He kept telling me that it's just swelling but I just get a bit worried cuz it does hurt when I have an erection.

It’s normal and healing is gradual process . Even in my case too. 4 weeks and doctor suggested to keep penis upward position always . Make sure no infection .

Yeah that makes sense. Is there a specific way you're keeping the penis up? Mine usually just falls down when I start walking.

Hi, I’m having the same problem , 9 days after circumcision. I’m literally awake every 30 minutes during the night with random erections but it’s the pain that’s waking me up.

How long until this stopped as in quite worried. Doctors haven’t been able to give me an answer
