Unabsorbable stiches removal - 7 days post surgery

Hello guys!

This post is especially for those of you (if any) who have unabsorbable stiches and are wondering how is going to be like on the removal day. Sure I cannot tell you how it's going to feel for you because it varies from each one of us but I want to share at least my experience.

Basically I had my circumcision done exactly one week ago and everything has been going wonderful for me. Only the normal swelling and some pain during the night erections which also was gone by the end of day 4. So now I experience only some sensibility on my frenulum and my foreskin cut.

Due to this well healing, my surgeon decided he's gonna remove my stiches today, aftef 7 days. And he really tried, but all I could bear was 4 stiches out of 18. The pain was just crucious. It was hell for me because the knots were quite stick to the skin (I have some really tight sutures) and he had to use a small razor instead of scissors in order to cut the threads. And he would gently cut also some of my skin. It hurt like fuck, I was literally screaming in the clinic. Me and my doctor agreed we are going to remove them all in two days, on his next shift. Until then I comfort myself thinking of all that fantastic sex that's waiting for me.

The good part is after I had these stiches removed, I had no more pain and all I have to do is to keep a bandage until tonight. Also the cut looks great and it will leave a nice scar.

So if you have unabsorbable stiches prepare yourself for some pain, but don't forget you might have a better experience with the removal then mine. Also I think I'm gonna post another one after thrusday.

Haven't had those so I cant relate, but its still nice to hear stories from different people when you are in the healing process as well. Makes you feel less alone. Oh and for the stiches, keep it up man you've got this ✊

You may ask him if he'd like to spread numbing cream (EMLA) on incision line half an hour before stitches removal.

FYI: I think you should support wound edges with strips of skin tape and bandage right after stitches removal on 9th day post-op.

Thank you for the tips, man. I will definitely ask him about the things you mentioned. That cream EMLA would be so good, or at least a spray or something that wouldn't make any damage to my penis. Hopefully, I'll get through this easier. Also the strips. Thanks again and take care of yourself! 🙏🏻
