So, finally decided to get the snip as I couldn't stand having a tight foreskin. I opted for the ZSR procedure in Delhi. I was nervous initially, but after given the local anesthetic I didn't feel a thing.
So now post 30 hours, luckily I have no pain and minimal swelling. Maybe it's because I had partial circumcision.
Just a bit confused as to when I could take a shower as I'm getting conflicting messages.
Any help would be welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks

Hey! I’m from India as well. I had a full circumcision by standard method. I believe you have a dressing done today. My surgeon removed it on day 3 (did not have any dressing after day3) and told me to shower after day 3. But i had a super sensitive glans so i did sponge bathing till day 9 and took a shower on day 9 very carefully! After that day I’m taking shower daily. But even during sponge bathing i very carefully cleaned the penis with absorbent guaze and warm clean water and dried it thoroughly and applied Betadine ointment.
Since you had circumcision through standard method, how many days it took your sutures/stitches to fall off and how have you been healing all this time.
I had my circumcision 4 weeks ago and still have majority of my sutures intact. Just wanted to know how long will it take for sutures to dissolve?
yeah. i am on day 28 and my sutures have turned violet in color from black and started to thin out and soften. hope they start to fall out within this week so that i can resume my normal life
Hey bro the recommended time until you can take a shower is 42 hours. remember just to be careful when you take a shower and don’t rub just gently soak it and after you get out I recommend air drying that’s what I did and then apply bacitracin instead of neosporin Just some tips to healing faster you got this 🙏🏼
Seriously bro, you have nothing to fear. It is totally pain free and it'll be over in 10 mins. You might feel a slight pinch when you're given the local anesthetic Injection. In 15 mins you'll be back wearing your own clothes
I guess that is down to each individual. There have been some here on the forum who experienced pain after, but thankfully Ive had zero pain since the surgery and do not take any pain killers also. Just taking the antibiotics.
The best thing the doctor told me was that if you think of the worse then things might happen. Just keep an open mind and think positive thoughts and don't think about the surgery after. Just don't exert yourself too much and you'll be fine. Also I'm going about my day normally (but carefully) without any thought of the surgery.
