16 days post op - stitch removal

Hi, I got a circumcision 16 days days ago and only 2 or 3 stitches have fallen out. I want to take them out but the incision is swollen around the stitches, and I’m have no idea how I would remove them. I tried today with no luck.

Do you just pull at them untill they come undone, were you able to cut behind the knot and pull them out, were they lose or right, there is no way to pull them and cut behind the knot because the knot sits directly on the skin and pulling it just makes it more irritated and hurts. I realllyyy don’t want stitch tunnels so please let me know how you guys removed your stitches / what the best way to do it is.

Also I cannot see my doctor because I went back to school since my surgery (1/2 way across the country) so It would be best if I can just take them out myself)

I'm removing mine now. I have a similar situation, so I'm using 2 sharp pointed tweezers to try and gently undo the knots. I've successfully removed 2 stitches.

Do some basic research on stitch tunnels, when I looked I couldn’t find any evidence they actually exist. There’s a few folk telling people to pull their stitches on forums like this but that’s all.

They definitely exist. I had at least 1, before I had my revision.

Let your body and enzymes do their own work.

There are in there for a reason.

Don't mess with them.
