It’s been 3 days from OP, i know it’s not a big time for healing. I get erections every morning and i can’t prevent it somehow, it is painful afterwards, it makes some kind of pressure around the tip. But what i concern about is that after i get an erection in the morning the shaft seems to be bruised and that’s what hurts. Is it normal to be like this? Or should i go to doctor?

Getting night erections and they are painful and getting bruised shaft
Hi Zat, it's normal to have them try to pee before bed and get up during the night as well. sleep with your knees bent forward in the fetal position also some guys say Sudafed decongestant tablets help to reduce erections as a side affect. It's also normal to have some swelling and bruising to start a few days after the circumcision.
Hey MrMac, thanks for the reply. First nights i couldn’t sleep on the side because of the hurting feeling, but i will try it for sure! I’m getting used to it that it will take long to heal and not worry much
Hey Zat the first week is the hardest even with everything going right. sleeping will be difficult but it will all improve all you need is time. The bruising is from the anaesthetic they inject in to the shaft. If you have any concerns though consult with your doctor for reassurance.
You must expect some bruising and considerable swelling after circumcision. Day 2 or 3 is when the bruising usually starts to show.
Remember that you are only just at the start of a 6-8 week journey.
Hey Bud,
I can only tell you about my experiences, so here goes:
I'm at day 18 and nighttime erections have plagued me. Initially they hurt now they are just uncomfortable. Honestly man, I had no idea my dick had this nighttime alter ego. When the swelling from the surgery eases (day 15) these will get a lot easier.
I had a lot of bruising on my shaft on the right, I spoke to my Dr about it and he told me he had to put in some extra stitches because of some bleeding that he could not stop with the cauterisation. So I think bruising can be an expected outcome.
Initially I hated my surgery and was getting very concerned about it. For me it just took time bud.
As long as it looks structurally okay then I would speak to your Dr to alleviate any concerns or anxiety but also remember this take 6 weeks to heal and 3 months to be full strength (according to my Dr)
Hey Mate, it’s quite same with me with nighttime erections, i didn’t even know it could be that often. The bruise is exactly on the shaft on the right, as you mention it too i’m getting less concerned. If i see any worse bruises or hurting feelings i might see my doctor. Thanks for advices, it helped a lot to ease my mind from it. Have a good recovery too!
