Painful erections 3,5 months after circumcision.

Hi

had a circumcision 5 months ago. The healing process has been long and painful. Have seen a urologist and I’m seeing the urologist who did the procedure next week.

I feel that the circular scar kind of “strangles” my dick whilst erect and it’s painful the whole head is very sore.

Is there anyone else who has had the same issue or anything similar?

I guess the scar formation tightened up too much or maybe the cut was too tight maybe . Are you on any topical medication to loosen up the skin ?

Doctor prescribed gel and emollient for inflammation as well as keeping the skin soft and supple. Using the gel twice and the emollient two or three times.

This does not seem to be a good outcome so far. It is good that you have an upcoming urological review. I hope your consultant addresses your issues seriously.

The scar site will not be able to stretch as well as the rest of the normal skin. I know what you mean, like a tight rubber band during erections. Fortunately, over time it softens and becomes more pliable.

Glad hearing this - it’s been a living hell after the circumcision. Got an infection as well after and had to take penicillin.

Cab I ask what kind of cut you got whether loose or tight? High or low cut?

Update: Saw the urologist who did the circumcision- he said that everything seems ok. Healing is ok, as well as the appearance of the scar tissue. The tightness is a stage of the remodelling of the scartissue. I was prescribed Cortisone cream/gel and I’m using it for 2 weeks than back to the urologist again.

Try use scar repair cream, it helps with softening the scar and with the healing process. It helped me with the same. You can get it at beautician close to you. With me too much skin was removed with the circumcision and 6 months later the skin is finally stretching to a semi full erection without pain. Give it time it will get better.
