Almost all stitches still in after nearly 4 weeks after surgery. Is this normal?

I would say that it is probably not that uncommon . If there are changes to the stitches such as lightening in colour and becoming friable esp when wet , then maybe they will drop off soon enough. It would be best to call up your surgeon and ask if anything else has to be done.Some doctors prefer to remove them while some don't. All the best !

Same bro! It's been 3 weeks for me n most of the stitches are still there.. doctor told me those are of "catgut" so it takes up to 70-90 days to absorbed fully by body.. but I'm not sure if it is okay that those stays in for this long😐
