Hey guys so I just got back from a beach trip and I did go into the ocean. But a few hours later I go to the bathroom and my penis had redness on the tip and it felt very sensitive. What should I do?

Sunburn?

You might be right but how does sunburn go threw a bathing suit?

in reply toAbob12

Hmm. Wonder what else is going on then.

in reply toAbob12

Unless the material is completely opaque some UV will be passing through.

Ok thank you also how long should the redness last?

in reply toAbob12

I can’t answer that, sorry.

If the tip was already sensitive, as men's penis heads tend to be, then salty seawater could have burned the end. Whether Sunburn or salt irritation, wait for it to go. If it's still there, in 3-4 days, refer up to qualified sources, such as your GP.

Ok thank you the thing is I go swimming in the ocean a lot and this has never happend before

Has the tip of your penis been somewhere else to have caused this problem?

No not at all. But I just wanted to point out that today it feels a lot better when I touch it. Chase yesterday when I touched it a little bit it hurt. So it seems to be getting better

If you've had no penis surgery, and this is happening, you have to start wondering about parasites accessing your urethra and get advice from a medical professional. Other than that, I've no idea what this is caused by.

Is there anyway I can send just you a picture of the tip?

No. I don't know how old you are, and you've been a member for far too short a time and global forum Code would indicate that that was a bad idea.

PUBLIC QUESTION: How old are you?

I am 20

Ask the Moderator "Osidge", and, if he says yes, message me. There is no built-in feature for posting photographs, though, in the messaging system, remember.

It happened to me. I will never wear bathing suits with the liner in them. That's not a natural fabric and it, along with the salt water or even pool, will rub against the head and it's basically a rash from irritation. Even if you have speedo type that are too loose, if the material isn't good, it will just rub against your most sensitive of skin. Took a week for it to heel the first time. The second time I figured out what was causing it really fast. Just like you, went to use the restroom and noticed it was red. This might be something to think about. Speedo, you want it right. Kinda Tight. Boxers, you want cotton or something soft. No netting. Everyone has different sensitivity levels. You're not going to feel it while you're having fun in the water. But the entire time it's floating around and rubbing on the material. I've never had it happen again. First thing I do is cut that netting out.

I agree about the netting. I’ve always got rid of it.

About 20 years ago, I used to do some pretty aggressive exercise. It was hot in next to no time and I'd just strip down to one pair of briefs. Exercise often caused, back then, a partial erection, and, during the exercise my absolute tip of penis would be repeatedly rubbed against the inside of the tight briefs.

One day, I got the shock of my life, when I'd finished...there was a patch of blood around 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches, on the briefs.

I got over the shock and it taught me how fragile the tip of the penis can be. I even remember thinking of it as being a sign of good circulational health. It happened every time I exercised and I just got used to it, and stopped wearing white stuff, down there, come exercise day!!! :) That will help to make you see how unbelievably sensitive the penis tip is - and how close to the surface the blood vessels already are. The penis is there to help keep the human race alive, so Nature gives us a sharp reminder when we don't treat it properly. My money is firmly on the salt water, and friction.
