I went to the doctor two months after the surgery and he said they’ll go down with time but it’s been ages, should I go back to the doctor or will time eventually deal with them?

Would suggest you to clear your doubt with the doctor. Getting a professional opinion is always the best option , especially when you are uncertain about anything during healing ! All the best !
