I bleed when I urinate or take a bath. Consulted my doctor, he just recommended to keep pressure on it until the bleeding stops. Which worked fine, but I get a sensation like my nerve getting pulled back when I try to sit or stand. And I’m worried to sit or stand normally and do it very slowly so I don’t feel anything.

I had a stapler surgery a week ago, my frenulum got cut during the process. My doctor gave me a compression at the cut but no stitches.
If the frenulum was cut during the surgery , I wouldn't worry much and bleeding is quite common but it should be very little. It will slowly subside over the following days and just let the compression bandage do its work . If you are still worried or if the frenulum suffered a cut post surgery best to get it checked by your doc !
Yes, the bleeding is little. But when I apply compression the blood gets clotted on the glans and I can’t clean it. It becomes very hard , when I try to wet that and dry it again it removes slowly and bleeds again.
And I also get a feeling like some nerve is pulling the penis when I try to stand or sit normally. If I do it slowly there wouldn’t be any sensation.
My doctor says that it is just my feeling and suggested me to forget that I had a surgery and move on.
Is this normal? Or should I be worried of something else?
Firstly when it bleeds and clots , don't try to pick at it as you might introduce infection . Whatever scabbing or clot that occurs at the site will naturally drop off once the healing there is over . I have had similar experience in the first few days post circumscision but that was because there was a stitch at the frenulum part which gave me that sensation . It completely went away in some time and I think it will do to for you too . Just give it some rest and don't worry so much . Obvsly since your doc has said there's nothing to worry don't worry . Have your normal follow ups and don't worry about it , healing takes longer than a week . Do start walking though and trying to increase your activity daily . Hope this helps ! Cheers !
I did walk in my home on the 3 day after taking bath, it started bleeding. And then I got scared and didn’t walk after because I see blood each time after I urinate or took a bath. But today I saw only couple of drops bleeding and it stopped without me applying compression.
Sure will try to walk regularly.
Thanks
Though I did not have a variant type of circumcision , I too bled little amounts from Day 4 post op till around day 12 or so. Would find little bleeds in the morning . Don't scrub too hard or anything . Let it heal and apply vaseline jelly to the head for sensitivity. Keep the area clean but that doesn't mean to pick at the clots or scabs. They will naturally drop off and are part of the healing. Hope this helps ! Take care !
why are you still bleeding though?
are you still bandaging your penis?
bandage it tight and change daily may speed up your recovery, just remember to clean your wound and spread some vaselin on gauze before bandaging to prevent sticky wound. also make sure everything is sterile.
I don’t know why I’m still bleeding either. Removed the dressing after 24 hrs of surgery. I see blood clot on back of my glans till the silicone ring. Didn’t properly clean it for 2 days. Then I took a salt bath without covering my penis on the 3 day.
It started to bleed from the clotted area, I’ve just applied compression and went to the doctor in the morning. By the time blood clot got even worse. He said I didn’t clean properly and did nothing about it, just asked me to clean regularly.
I came back and took salt bath for every 12 hrs , since I wasn’t able to clean just the glans because of too much sensitivity issue. Whenever I take a bath or urinate I see some bleeding from the clotted area.
No , I didn’t bandage my penis post circumcision dressing removal. I tried once but couldn’t complete it. I feel very sensitive on my glans and can’t even touch it.
Sure, will try the Vaseline on gauze and see if it helps.
Thanks.
if you find it hard to do the wound care by yourself due to glans over sensitivity, I suggest you seek professional help from nearest emergency unit.
after two or three visits, you should be able to get used to bandaging and do it yourself fairly easily.
take a good care of your asset and wish you speedy recovery.
