Hi, I’m a 22 year old Male and I recently had a Circumcision done on 10 February, it’s now the 15th and I’m still getting awful discomfort, when I sit down if I’m naked there is not much pain but if I stand up, walk (which I can barley it’s very sensitive) I’ve been able to dap it with a cloth but it’s extremely sensitive. I’m just very worried and would like some support I can really over think things sometimes. When should I be able to wear pants and walk around normally? Not to interested in the sex at the moment just want be comfortable thank you all.

It’s still early days. Wait a few weeks and you’ll get a little bit better each day.

Thankyou, I am an over thinker, just worried as loads of people was talking about going back to work after 1 week feeling fine. I’m signed off for three already and think I’m gonna need it.

Those that say they healed in 1 week are fucking liars. Don’t stress you have a long time to go still, I’m at post 1 month and it’s not healed yet but it’s getting there.

It’s gonna take around 6-8 weeks for you to heal so don’t stress , I know what you’re going through but don’t think about it and stop looking at it all the time , that causing more stress, I chilled for about 4 weeks after surgery didn’t do anything cos it was sore , So it’s early days for you , Good luck👍

Thankyou this makes me feel more at ease, just so sensitive hard to sleep move around but you’re right early days

I had my procedure of 31st Jan went back to work after 9 days. Walking around no issues with tight underwear. Still got some discomfort as very sensitive still and stitches haven’t all gone. I know it will be another couple of weeks until healed properly. I wasn’t using salt water to start with however have started using to help dissolve stitches as loosens them up slightly. Every body heals differently. Just chill out and take your time off.

Thank you I appreciate the support, My job involves heavy lifting hence why I must also be careful.

Dude relax really... it’s only been 5 days. Get use to it, it’ll be another 4wks and the months before it’s properly healed. Just like the doctor told you.

It’s been 4 mths for me and it’s fine now. 1 mth after and it was good for me, I went to work 3 days after and kept a tight bandage on it for mth n a half it’s important to look after it.

It doesn’t hurt for me now, when missus gives it a thrashing there’s a little ( can’t stay pain because I like a bit of pain ;) ) but a little feeling on the stitch line inside. I assume it’s normally because when you think about it it’s a big job not just like stitching a cut on your leg or arm. it’s still healing under there deep down. But it feels great I’m happy to have it done. I’m 42 yrs old. Just relax keep it bandaged and clean look after it, baby it and it’ll be fine.

Enjoy

Very early days yet. Discomfort may last some while.

Six weeks I think is about normal, if there is such a thing ?

Try and reduce movement and take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen when needed.

Good Luck
