I had my circ a week ago also! I’m not looking that swollen tbh as you are..take Tylenol and Advil and make sure your cleaning your wound. I’m not sure why you still have your bandage on it could be infected which would be bad news. Ice if not getting better seek medical care.

The suturing site is where the bandage is. On examination, there is a slight discharge whenever I remove the bandage. So, I was scared .that is why I still dress it with the bandage still on.

I am on I.v amoxicillin + clavulajic acid 1.2g bd ×48hrs and ibuprofen 400mg t.I.d ×5.

Am really worried about this swelling

Swelling is normal. Since you’re on antibiotics to prevent infection, you should be okay. Does the swelling feel hot to the touch? If so that’s a sign of infection and you need to see your doctor.

Hi,

I got circumcised about 11 days ago. My swelling was way worse than that. You should see the posts on my profile. I still have swelling mine is about the same as yours is now. It takes a longer time with some people. I have been iceing mine twice a day and when I get night time errections. I have been going to the doctors every four days and just following their advise. The swelling I have is caused by a hematoma the doctor told me to get Hirudoid cream which you can get from the chemist and it getting ride of my swelling.

Healing time veries from person to person, just be patient and it will come good. If in doubt see your doctor and they will suggest what is best for you. In the meantime keep the wound clean and infection free.

I would nt advise anyone to undergo surgery like this at this time for fear of infection etc.

I always do as different countrys have differing health care systems and approaches. When we assume someone is in the UK and start talking about things only to find they are in Manila.

Especially interested just now as elective surgery is largely cancelled throughout the world just now with CoVid.

I had similar swelling especially after the bandage was removed on the 3rd day. It gradually reduced but you may experience discomfort as it rubs against clothing since it is soft tissue and prone to scratches due to first time exposure. Mine gets better on 7-10th day.

Hi Hidden , thank you for sharing. Im 31 and I am 3 weeks in after circumcision. I noticed that the size of my erect penis has reduced. I just wanted to know whether you had similar experience? Im a little worried about this.

Moreover, The glans are still very sensitive, it pains every time the head touches the fabric of my underwear so I make an abdominal guard of soft sterilized cotton everyday that I wear on top of the penis. Just letting you know this in case you too are feeling discomfort with undies.

I am 32 age. And done ZSR circumcision. It's day 18 for me. I can say my glance was hypersensitive on day 1 but now day 18 it's being less sensitive. Still currently i can't wear pants because it's sensitive. So, i say it needs time to let sensitivity go. I also use gauze so it help me doing routine activities. My doctor said my skin is super thick after he found out after surgery. But nothing to worry. About penis size, i honestly not measured yet but look totally changed after circumcision so im not sure about size but soon after fully heal i do measure it. All day i wish for heal faster and hope for sensitivity go fast.

It's been two months. I'm back to normal. Underwear doesn't feel uncomfortable. I did have lots of vitamin c rich fruits and bone broth to heal faster and it has worked wonders.

I'm not happy about the erection size though. The erection I had measured before the surgery was certianly significant. Feels like I lost an inch. I read up on lot of forums I'll have to live with it now I guess.
