So i recently did a circumcision and i am really nervous about the results, I think i did a really bad job at keeping it clean because i just showered the day after the operation and i usel hot water and soap instead of salt bath that i keep seeing and i need help.
I dont know how to properly clean, when to clean or what to use when cleaning. Also what do i use afterwards? Do i take new bandages and wrap around it every 12-24 hours or do I use compressors and use normal underwear?
This photo is how it looks two days after the surgery and im really worried that it is infected. I would really approciate any feedback or comments on how it looks and any answers to my questions.

Its normal with swelling, and pain. Does it have a puls? Does it puss? If not, your fine.
Dont use soap for 7 days, if you do it will open the wounds and you might get an infection.
Wash with normal water twice a day. They also told me to use Fucidin, wich is a cream you put on twice a day to avoid infection. It kills bacteria.
I was told that you need a bandage the first day, but after that your fine.
Ive been to the doctor bcs I had shit loads of puss and still swelling 2 weeks after operation. And he told me its not infected. So im 99% sure your good.
No problem. Im shit stressed my self, so the least I could do is help others. Most of the sites on the internett says it will grow after 2-4 weeks. Kinda bullshit if you ask me. Found one site that stated that 95% grows within 6 weeks. And 85% within 5 weeks. Hope im not part of that 5% that grows 7-8 weeks or more.
Because my growing is soooo slow.

The wound site looks clean to me and I don’t think you need to be so worried. Showers are better than baths if you can in early days as you won’t be sitting in your own bacteria. Water with minimal or no soap should be enough, no need for salt baths unless you’re into self-torture.
You should be able to treat it like any other cut you might have had on your body, just keep it clean and give it air.
I was advised to leave bandage off after 48 hours and just apply low-adherence dressing if I get any spots of blood. I think some guys are given compression bandages to keep swelling down. In my case the surgeon told me to keep my member pointing upwards which I did and had no swelling.
No worries mate. You can shower with soap etc there nth to worry about it. Just don't wash it directly for the first week. Rinse it with water and soak is fine . Make sure to dry it well. Use hair dryer is the best . Use gauze to gently wrap it around helps to absorb fluid and maybe some blood and pair it with a tight underwear. I only soak it with salt water after week 2 so I can't say how much it helps thou. Vitamin E oil does promote healing thou.
Bro I’m 9 weeks post op from day one I had no bandage on , I would shower every other day with warm water and just let the water trickle over my penis and let it dry naturally , I only wore a dressing gown when at home couldn’t stand anything touching it for the first 2 weeks . At night I would sleep on my back knees up with my penis laying on my belly , don’t worry if you start to bleed abit it’s normal due to night time erections, my bleeding totally stopped by 3.5 weeks,
I know it’s stressful but just be patient and keep it clean ,
Oh yeah you might find your pee hole closes a bit
Just squeeze the head to open the hole when urinating and don’t be alarmed if your wee splits into 2 it’s normal,
I live in sweden and I got it Done in a hospital, it was not private and my mother knew and supported the decision. I had a doctor look at it and he told me that this should have been Done earlier and then i got sent home and about 1-2 months after that, i had my surgery.
Make sure you use non-stick bandages if you are planning on using any so your scab doesnt get stuck to it. Even with that be careful when you take it off my scabs got ripped off and it took a long time to heal again.
Hi that look sore and tender I washed 2 times a day in salt water pat dried then used air dryer put new dressing on every day and petroleum jelly for 12 days take paracetamol every4 hours don't exceed more than 8 in one day wore tight boxers and I am no 17 days see my pic try not to worry and take it easy eat healthy and try not to drink alcohol t slows recovery hope this info helps good luck and all the best
