3 days post surgery

I’m writing this to let anyone know that if they need advice or someone to talk to before surgery or issues I’m here to help! I am 22 years old, uncircumcised my whole life and am 3 days post surgery because I was having issues with my tight foreskin and my foreskin would get stuck behind my head during sex which was so painful. I one time got it so stuck that I went to the hospital because I couldn’t get it back over the head (they got it at the hospital) So after I got that help from the ER, they made me a urology appointment, the urologist recommended a steroid cream I tried that but it didn’t work for me.

After a month of using the cream I had another appointment and we discussed either getting the dorsal slit or getting circumcised. My urologist told me that most men usually come back after they get the dorsal slit because cosmetically it makes the penis look ugly. I took about 5 minutes to decided to get circumcised after YEARS of deciding and wanting to get it done. I got the surgery that day (last Friday) and I am now 3 days post surgery. I feel great, my penis honesty looks thicker and healthier. I’m not sure if anyone else felt that way after their surgery but I sure do! Once again, anyone can reach out to me to talk and I’ll be willing to answer and help out!

Edit: also since I am 3 days post surgery I am also requesting any advice to help from anyone! I would love to heal as quickly as possibly and I do not want to have any issues so if anyone has any please drop a comment!

Good luck with your recovery Len. It can be a bit of an adjustment, but in a month or two, you should feel much better!

Heh! Well, at 22 I was basically a walking erection which isn't too much fun for the first 2-3 weeks. Empty your bladder as much as possible before you go to sleep, and try not to drink anything for 3 or so hrs before bed. Beyond that, follow your doctors advice, and try not to wank for at least 4 weeks.

Exactly what our NHS guidance is. Try stretching if that is appropriate and if that does not work or is not appropriate have a circumcision.

Well added the health piece as an insurance!

Thank you! I just finally decided enough was enough after failing at doing everything and I think it’s a great decision

Healing is a process not an event. It takes time. It’s natural to worry but it will settle down in time. At least 6 months until it looks normal. After a year or so nobody will realize you were circumcised as an adult. You will be happy!
