27 yr old here, I was cut 4 days ago. I have read many posts on here, but still seeking something more.
I have always suffered with a tight foreskin. I could clean it in the shower but I had tightness issues when erect. So I have finally been circumcised.
It's day 4. The incision line is swollen, if my penis is dangling freely (in the shower for example) it feels like it's heavy and the swollen part feels like it's pushing downwards into the glans. Or it could maybe just be pushing against the stitches/wound since gravity pulls it down? Either way, it's quite an uncomfortable feeling.
For this reason, since removing the bandage on the day after surgery, I have to keep my penis facing upwards, including when trying to sleep and also throughout the day. Even more difficult because I can't wear boxers or any clothing item that touches it, as it's very sore. Did anyone else experience this kind of swelling, where the only relief from the pressure of gravity is by holding the penis upwards?
Secondly, I did notice a couple of posts about urinating. I can urinate, but not at full speed, feels very very slightly restricted. Then I noticed that the urethra hole has closed up a little which explains the slight restriction. I Googled it, and was met with a lot of info about "Meatal Stenosis" which really freaked me out. A part of me wants to believe that it's just the glans swollen from the injections, as I did have a few extra shots of local anaesthetic during the operation. Should I be worried? The current situation is that I can pee (at maybe 80% speed) then I notice drops and dribbles up to 5 mins after finishing peeing. Will it stay like this?

Hey man, it's been 2 months since my surgery . I totally get what you might be going through, I was very very concerned too initially.
About the swelling and pressure, I had felt a little relief too only when it was raised up. But if it gets too much to bear then don't hesitate to call your doctor.
About restriction in peeing, don't worry. I had faced the same thing. It's because of the swelling only. Don't worry so much. I used to Google everything as well but it only increased my stress.
In short, be cautious and careful but do not over stress yourself. Everything will be fine soon. If something hurts too much or bleeds then don't hesitate one bit to call your doctor. You may feel you are bothering them, but it's their job to help you . Don't worry
Thanks so much for your reply. Yep, I'm doing the same thing, googling everything which probably isn't always the best idea. Hardest part for me currently, is feeling trapped in my own home, as I can't manage the discomfort of clothes, and obviously it's not acceptable to be naked in public. I tried so hard yesterday to get myself outside that it brought me to tears - not so much the pain, but the mental feeling of entrapment. I just want to go back to work and return to normal life. Hopefully it comes soon
True true totally felt the same thing. But I tried to watch my favourite shows, spend some time reading something new everyday and picked up one skill to learn through a course. Kept me occupied most of the time and takes your mind off this also.
Your normal life will be back soon and you'll be glad you kept your patience all this while. Be careful with night boners, empty your bladder before sleeping and don't take a lot of water before sleeping.
Also ask your doctor how you can reduce boners at night . Will help you
it’s all normal buddy. I’m just over a year since having mine done and best decision I ever made (not that was really much of a decision!!) I should have had courage to have it done 20/30 years earlier!!
Recovery is tough for a few weeks - it starts to get much better from about 3 weeks.
I recall the day mine was so swollen that when I went to pee it came out sideways at 90 degrees!!!! Your cock has just been through a massive trauma - it will recover but don’t expect normality for a few weeks!
You may be about to start with nighttime boners too. Mine were bad from night 5-10. That for me was toughest part and I’d strongly recommend having a bag of frozen peas handy for emergency relief in the middle of the night!!
I had the same too, i struggled urinating to full effect for about 2-3 weeks, but now i am almost 3 months on and it absolutely fine and back to 100%
With the throbbing and how uncomfortable things are now you have to think of the trauma the penis has seen and like with any injury blood flow to it will make it throb as your body is trying to heal it, most injuries you usually got told to elevate it to relieve swelling ect but kind of hard when its in the middle of your body, i just layed down as much as possible watching netflix ect too.
There are some really good pointers here already i just thought i would give you more confidence in more than a couple of us have had the same and not to worry, but as already said, any major concerns go and see your doctor.
Hey don't worry this too will pass. I have also done circumcision done 6 weeks ago due to phimosis and BXO and today I'm completely fine , initially 1-2 weeks were of bit struggle but now it feels so great wished I could have done it earlier.
