Had a circumcision 4 days ago and after the 2nd day, I've been walking around the house with nothing on downstairs (just wearing a dressing gown) so the air gets to it all. Just wondered if it should look like this or not? I understand it's only been 4 days but still. Just wanted to be sure, as I'm pretty worried about it. I'm assuming the "bubbly/swelling" part whatever we call it, will die down in a week or so?
Cheers guys!

It should go down in afew days but if i was you contact the doctors or go to hospital I think it might be the stitching doesn't look like a infection as it seems to have a good colour red there normally if infection is there there would be pus coming out but to put your mind at rest get it checked might be helpful to get some antibiotics.
I've had my dad tell me to relax and that the swelling will die down and theres nothing to worry about. Supposed to look like this... There's pus but it's all kind of sat underneath the swelling, under each pocket if that makes sense? Which I think is normal. I've read online it should die down in 7-10 days and I don't need antibiotics but I don't particularly want to wait till then and find out I need something for it.
Hey, hopefully it will die down in a few days sometimes it can persist though. You gave your dad a look I think he is right if you relax and see in a few days.
I would try and keep it in an upright position as much as you can and maybe use some ice it may help although some guys say that it doesn't but I think it's no harm.
And if you wash gently with some salted water it will help sued and keep infection away. Hope this helps all the best
Just a quick question. How exactly am I supposed to keep it in an upright position? The only way for that is if I was laying on my back and had an erection hahaha! And from what I've read, an erection could effect the healing/stitching/whatever else, in a negative way. As for the ice, that's debatable.. I'm tempted to try that tomorrow and see how it goes, although, it's quite sensitive so I may not even be able to withstand ice for even a couple of seconds ahaha.
You definitely don't want any erections 😂 if you are sitting or laying down just have him back in a comfortable position. you probably can't wear any boxes but when you can some tight boxer briefs would be good. you can try and position yourself comfortably with them. If you use the ice maybe not Direct contact use something in between. It can be very sensitive for sure but everything will settle down.
Lmao, I HAVE had to fight off a few erections 😂, don't even get me started on the pain with those.. My mate did mention about some boxer briefs... I'm gonna have a look around tomorrow and see what I can find.
It's ok, I know it's not criticism. I'm 24 (nearly 25) and had phimosis prior to the OP. Did try a cream for a while to no success. With the keeping my penis upright with my boxers waistband, I'm kinda worried the stitching will get caught on it somehow... I'll do it anyway! I'm gonna defo look at some briefs! They've been recommended so many times 😂
I just realised, I read that article you linked and it states there are enzymes in lymph which will dissolve the stitches over time... but how would that be possible if I'm keeping my penis upright, to drain the lymph from the swelling? Am I missing something?😂
love the bush.. I's surprised they didn't ask you to trim or shave. they told me to, they even went and got all the hair shaved.
Went to the doctors today. Turns out its a little bit infected and he's gonna give me some antibiotics. He even said at the end I'll end up saying I miss the "flower" form it's in (as it looks right now). The only thing he was worried about was the gundge/discharge under the pockets of swelling.
Well here we are at 15 days, nearly 16. It still looks the exact same, only difference is theres no tenderness in the swelling. Other than that, all looks exactly how it did a few days after the circ. Doctor told me to leave the stitches in, but the way this is going, they could be in there forever. Just out of curiosity, how much salt would you recommend I put in the bath? Just incase I'm not putting enough in hence why this is taking so long..
You said you were going to go to the doctor, what did he say?
As for the salt, I did not used salt. mine got better by it self, with a bit of an ointment by I was afraid to keep it too moist. message me if you like.
