This is my frenulum. Just wondering if it's looking right after 12 days. Been taking the tablets I mentioned in my other post. The suture/stitch is extremely loose and the way I see it, is only held there by the yellowy/white jelly looking and feeling stuff. I'm gonna try and see a doctor today at some point and get their opinion also. Any advice is appreciated. Not gonna lie, kinda shitting myself at this look tbh with you. (I've got rid of the hair lol)

Hi. I think it is just your skin healing and filling in the gaps you don't have any yellow pus or bad smells? You have quite a bit of swelling still on the other side hopefully this will subside soon it can be a problem for some guys and can last month's and only slowly subside. It's a good idea to have things checked with your doctor and see if they are happy.

And it's a good idea to remove that hair perhaps a little trim would be in order😁

This might sound ridiculous (I forgot to ask the doctor about this too), but when you're told to put vaseline on the stitches when wearing clothes, how will that help them fall out or even help at all? I've noticed each of my stitches has dried up vaseline on them and it now feels like a rock. Even if the stitch detaches from the dissolved part of itself, it'll just stay on my skin and I wont even know if it's actually detached and "fallen off" or notπŸ€” well confused right nowπŸ˜‚

I didn't really use any Vaseline I thought it would be better to keep things dry and not moist and let the wound scab. if I thought my skin was drying out too much I would use some E45. I did dress my wounds with non adhering dressing and gauze this helped when I was working or doing anything. and when the wounds had dried up I just used a gauze dressing this covered any stitches that remained and made it more comfortable. I also trimmed the ends of any that were sticking out.

Is it also known for the frenulum to heal first? The way I see things going, my frenulum is going to heal first (will all become a scab and then fall off), then the stitches fall out and then the swelling going down. The white and yellow gooey "slough" the doc called it, has almost become a a rock now.

Usually it's the frenulum that is the slowest to heel, I know when my stitches came out or when I removed most of them things did improve for me. but I didn't have the amount of swelling that you have. has it gone down any? if you think it is drying out to much you could use some E45 you want it to be comfortable. As Arran said a good soak is great you feel so much better after it.

I've still got the swelling around, with the "flower look". I dont want to remove then myself incase they havent fully done their job. I do have a few loose ones mind. It just seems like my stitches are taking forever to come out πŸ˜‚. I know only time will tell, but just how much longer exactly, do these stitches need?

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

No man you don't want to remove them in case you're not healed enough, it was different for me. usually after 21 days they should be removed but some doctors say that they will just dissolve themselves ask your doctor about it, I know when they are gone you should heal up much quicker but your swelling could take time to go down.

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

Yeah I understand that, I'm just waiting for them to dissolve themelseves, but one thing I've noticed is my frenulum now back to it watery/jelly kinda feel and look compares to it touch scab/rock look and feel like it was earlier... proper weird. I've got some of it coming off too because it's so sloshy or whatever word we wanna use, which is why I was asking if its known to heal before the stitches come out and the other swelling goes down. Got the doctor telling me one thing which I believe is true anyway, but then something else happening instead πŸ‘€πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ™ˆ. Proper nut boggler this πŸ˜‚πŸ™„

GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

When I say its healing, I just meant the white stuff on it is sorta rubbing off whenever it touches something. One of the stitches has moved out its position a little and is kinda submerged itself into the white stuff that's sat there.. so I dont really know what's going onπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

Are you dressing the wounds with some non adhering dressing and gauze if you are going out or going to bed you probably should keep everything clean if it's still soft and weeping

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

No I just leave it to air both during the day or at night if I'm in the house. Outside I just wearing boxer briefs and whatever clothing. The doctor said to do all this and leave it u less I'm bathing it. I just dont want any of this stuff to come off while its weepy, when it isnt supposed to just yet.

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

Another quick question. You said the frenulum heals slower. Well the white/yellow "slough" is slowly coming off but one of the stitches is really loose now. If those stitches and the "slough" all came off prior to the other stitches and swelling going down, would this be a big issue? Should that happen? I'm a little worried right now.

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

No I wouldn't worry man if everything came off before your swelling goes down and stitches come out. it has to start at some time the sooner the better. it's a sign hopefully you are healing.

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

Alright man, that gives me a good piece of mind πŸ‘

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

I've noticed the last 2 days, some weird odour coming from it. Also still pretty weepy when I've worn clothes and dry as a rock when I'm pretty much naked πŸ˜‚. A couple of my stitches are really loose now and are actually only held there by dried vaseline πŸ‘€. The rest are still right into my skin, kinda like they are stapled in and the loose ones are "falling out" stitches. Swelling still there but no pain or tenderness. And my glands are well sensitive!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but I know that'll take months or maybe a year before that gets somewhat comfy.

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

If you have an odour maybe have it checked with your doctor. If it's still weeping you probably should have a dressing on it if you are working. If some of your stitches are ready to come out you could remove them. Your sensitivity will decrease in time hopefully it won't take months. if you could go into edit and update your photo on this post it should be after improving since your last photo

Did you use anything else to help with healing other than vitamin c tabs and bio oil? Also, how often did you take/use them? I've just bought some bio oil, vitamin c tabs and a tub of multi vits too.. hopefully helps my situation alot considering I've not taken any for the first 3 weeks πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

They should help with you the vitamin C would be good for your skin I use the bio oil twice a day at first

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

And where did you put the oil? On the swelling, so for me, on each pocket between the stitches?

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

Well for me I had my stitches out after 2 weeks and I applied the oil on my glans the scar and some on the shaft just a small amount rubbed in

GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toMrMac99

Hey, man could you check my latest post for me please (will be done in a moment). I'm at 6 weeks 3 days and would love to have a wank right now ahahah but worried I may open the fren wound somehow, either by splitting the scab, splitting the skin UNDER the scab, or somehow pulling the part of my penis skin that's directly below the scab, away from it and fucking things up.

Get soaking in a salt bath and all that should come off. After the bath I used the towel to gently wipe those bits and they went in a couple of days

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toArran85

Yeah man, been salt washing it a couple times every day, has helped alot but from what I've read and like I said to MrMac99 in my other reply, I'm wondering why my frenulum is healing quicker... unless my body is different πŸ˜‚. For all I know, everywhere else HAS healed, I'm just not seeing it. Either way, I'm just waiting for my stitches to fall out to allow the swelling to properly calm down!

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toArran85

I also just thought, even when this stuff (slough) has gone, that doesnt mean the frenulum has healed does it... I kinda got that into my head πŸ˜‚

BroziDaor profile image
BroziDaorβ€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

Not really, it would jus mean its all closed up and no longer fresh.. but the healing aint done yet

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply toBroziDaor

What's really annoying is it dries up during the day and then is wet at night. I just didn't want this "slough" stuff to come off whilst its wet when it isnt supposed to. Plus, god knows how its meant to become a scab when its wet almost every night πŸ‘€πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

Try to keep your hands off of it, it is a slow process be patient with time it all be a thing of the past and you'd love all of it.

Hey man so how isn’t now. Should be almost 3 weeks

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply to

Still have swelling and stitches, and some of the "slough" on the frenulum is really weepy at night and drys out during the day. I dont have any tenderness in the swelling and a couple stitches are coming loose. The frenulum is annoying because it's that weepy that it's coming off and going on my bed sheets or clothing etc.. I was told it was meant to become a scab but that doesnt make sense if the slough is coming off.. other than that, no pain now. Been told it could take up to 4 weeks for the stitches to start dissolving.. hopefully things get better over the next few weeks eh!

I’m sure it will get better as time goes on. Can you post an updated pic and status next week? You were cut a week before me.

GreenBaffoon profile image
GreenBaffoonβ€’ in reply to

Sure man, I'll post a picture tomorrow. My mate said earlier I should get the stitches removed because they could cause a infection (shes a trained nurse) but then I have a doctor at my local health centre advise me on 2 different occasions (2 mondays in a row) that they need to be kept in for longer, plus a nurse from the hospital I got it done told me a few days ago they can take up to 4 weeks to start dissolving even with dried vaseline on them (somehow?πŸ€”) and that they can't be removed anyway.. they have to dissolve.

Who to listen too...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

How's your swelling etc?

β€’ in reply toGreenBaffoon

My swelling is getting better. I had a ring of swelling around my head then it moved to under the head and is like a lump of swelling. It has gradually been going down though. I asked the doc and a nurse and also physician assistant when I went for wound check at one week if stitches will need to be removed eventually and they all said no that they should be left to dissolve on their own. At this point all the exterior stitches have dissolved but I think there are still some inside. Either way I think it’s best to leave them and let your body do it’s thing. You can always use bio oil later if there is scaring.
