Foreskin doesn't cover tip like it used to, is it ever going to go back to normal?

So I'm 27 y/o and obviously uncircumsized, and recently I started to get a weird pinching and burning sensation on my penis/foreskin that would happen randomly which has led me to work from home naked the last few weeks because anything touching would irratate and hurt. I went to the doctor then a urologist where he prescribed to me a anti-fungal powder saying that it wasn't healing due to it always being wet. It's been about two weeks since and the pinching sensation seems to have mostly gone away but now my foreskin doesn't ever seem to cover the entire head anymore. Which leads to discomfort as the head is so sensitive to ANYTHING, mostly my boxers obviously. I don't know why it doesn't cover everything like it used to be and I don't know if it'll ever go back to normal. is this expected?? is this something to worry about?

I apply the power on my foreskin/around my head twice a day but like the tip seems to stay exposed all day now. Urologist said to come back in a month if it was still bothering me.

PLEASE any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Clean only once per day with clear water, no soap. Continue the anti-yeast product.. you might want to try a cream with Clotrimazole.

Your foreskin can be lengthen by stretching. I can tell you how.

got it, i never use soap when i rinse in the shower. I feel like there is a little extra skin but it doesn't seem to wrap the tip closed like before. will stretching help with that?

Yes, stretching will help that. Follow advice of NOWHARD.

great thanks for the reply. Do you know any resource online I could look into for info about that? I'm not really sure where to apply olive oil or how much and if that will interfere with the powder treatment I'm currently doing. Can I do the stretching without applying anything?

You might have a little swelling from the irritation that is causing the foreskin to seem shorter. The powder may also be contributing as it makes everything drier and as such the skin won't glide as much on its own.

Sounds like you had a yeast infection which is very common for intact guys. I used to get them till I started keeping my foreskin retracted. Now the sensitivity with my glans has subsided considerately. I can go without underwear in jeans without any issues.

Just wait out the month with the powder. Make sure you wash it often with super mild soap (non deodorant and unsented) before putting the powder on. Using the powder without washing can cause a build up of powder and restricting the foreskin.

Oh, make sure to dry your penis well before putting the powder on. Gently pat dry with a very soft towel, don't rub.

thanks for the reply! I generally just shower and don't touch it to let it airdry normally then like half an hour later go ahead and pull back and apply the powder basically all around.

how does the glands ever get less sensitive? I've been having to leave the tip exposed like mentioned for like 2 or 3 weeks now but its still just super sensitive to any contact hence me working from home naked the last few weeks. I keep hearing it gets used it, but I don't see how it actually happens

Well, it's not an overnight thing. Keeping the glans exposed constantly for about 6 months or so will probably do it. Just watch for any swelling. If it starts to swell you have to cover the glans as quickly as you can or you'll be in the ER for them to do it.

At first you can use cotton briefs to help hold the foreskin back. This will help ease the getting used to the glans sensitivity. Once the glans becomes less sensitive you can go back to wearing boxers or even freeballing if you like. You can also do this in stages. Start doing it for a day, then 2, them 3 and so on. If at any time you wish to stop the sensitivity will return in no time at all. So you see, this is a temporary thing that you could do permanently if you wish. It will look like a loose circ but you will still have your full foreskin to use whenever you like. Unlike a circ that once it's gone it's gone forever.

Good luck to you.........Alan

ah gotcha, well honestly i don't really have any interest in getting my glands used to being exposed. It was fine for me when my foreskin would cover everything and that's just what I want it to be again. It's really unbearable to get around currently and its making life miserable. I'll look into doing some stretching exercises to see if that can help. Still kinda shocked that this happened so randomly.

Soap is contraindicated as it washes away beneficial bacteria which ward off yeast.

in reply tojimfromcalif

True

Soaps can also cause the yeast infection due to removing the GOOD bacteria.

thanks for the response, my foreskin covers i'd say 95% of the gland but its when im flaccid its the tip that doesn't get covered anymore. do you really think that penis length increase could be what the cause is even when flaccid? seems like I always could cover it comfortably when flaccid

hmm gotcha, do you have any source online I could look at for information about how to approach? Idk how much olive oil or where to apply and things like that. Not sure how to do it while I'm still applying the powder twice a day regularly.

What is the source of your ridiculous nonsense? The entire body is protected by beneficial bacteria.

Your suggestions are dangerously false.

I had very similar problem before a year, very sensitive tip, but gradually it became desensitized . penis could get pinching sensation, pain, if the smegma inside the foreskin is not cleaned regularly. Pull back foreskin completely, clean your smegma( white or yellow smelly stuff inside the foreskin and on the glans) using warm water using your hands and then push the foreskin back.

I still have tip exposed and it isn't causing any problems now
