I will share mine, i was 17 years old, ( 4 years ago ). I went to the doctor as i wanted to be circumcised as i was in a public shower and seen another male the same age group as myself who was circumcised and we got taking.

So went to the doctor and he asked why i wanted to be circumcised and examined me. He pulled back my foreskin fully and said this is how it will always look, how do you feel about that and i said yes i want it. 3 months later the letter came through the door with an appointment for 10:00 am.

It was a day surgery appointment so went into the hospital at 9:15 and was shown to the day surgery unit. I told the receptionist my name and gave her my appointment letter. She told me to follow her into a waiting room. I did their was myself and another 3 gentlemen in the waiting room. A nurse came round about 10 mins later and told us all to follow her. She took the 4 of us into a changing room. Handed us a pair or mesh pants, trousers a gown and socks snd was told to take EVERYTHING off including underwear, jewellery and glasses. We all started to get undressed infront of each other and as i was the youngest there i was rather nervous infront of 3 other men fully naked. We then had to put our possessions into a locker and once changed hand the nurse our keys.

The nurse then took us back to the waiting room to be called one by one. After what felt like ages i then was called by the surgeon. He took me into a room, asked my name, dob and asked what i was here for. I confirmed my details and confirmed i was here to be circumcised.

He then asked me to lower my trousers and underwear to my ankles. The surgeon then put on a pair of gloves and started examining me. He pulled my foreskin back and said yes this will be a straight forward procedure and pulled my foreskin back over the head. He told me that i was first up and to follow him.

I followed the surgeon to the operating theatre and walked into a room full of doctors and nurses all standing around a bed, and the surgeon said please lye down and pull off your underwear and trousers. I was then being spoken to by a nurse who introduced herself as Gemma. She said that she was going to be staying beside me at all time talking to me. Then came the injection in the base of my penis. Then another 2 or 3 injections to ensure that i didnt feel pain but was still awake.

I could feel some tugging and pulling but nothing painful. After what seemed like 30 mins or so i was told that it was all over and i was wheeled to a ward until i rested and the pain blocker wore off. I was only in the ward for around 2-3 hours and in that time had a few nurses come in and give me painkillers and check my bandage.

After my final check i was told i could go home and was given my locker key to get changed and was sent home on my merry way.

Best decision in my life is getting rid of the foreskin !!!!!!!

I got circumcised on the 4 of september. A few years ago i discovered i had a problem called phimosis, i couldn't pull back my foreskin, but i never told anyone because i was scared of the surgery. An year ago i was 19 and i decided to do something about this problem, before it could lead to other complications. I was so scared because i've never had a surgery and let's face it, penis is the most important part of the body for males xD also i was very embarassed because here in Italy no one is circumcised, in fact only 2 of my friends know about that. The day of the surgery i was in a room with other 3 people, i thought i would be the most nervous but actually i wasn't. I was the second to go in, they gave me an anesthetic cream to put on my penis and a dress, the nurses took me to the operation theater, gave me something to calm down and made an injection, after that i could only feel pulling but absolutely no pain. After the surgery the nurses took me back to my room, and 2 hours laterwhen they checked that everything was ok i was ready to go home. The recovery is doing good. I never felt pain, the first days it was very demoralizing to look at my penis because it was so swollen. Today it still is but at least i got used to it. A part of the glans is still covered but i hope when the swelling goes down it won't be... i'm a little worried that the surgeon left too much skin... this was my story, i enjoyed yours, sorry for my bad english!

Hi. I can understand you feeling self-conscious about being circumcised when hardly anyone else is but it is nothing to be ashamed about! I was the only circumcised boy in my year at my (English) school and I rather liked the individuality. Girls have always commented favourably on it. My sons are circumcised and they like it as well. I hope you will enjoy your circumcision. And by the way, your English is really good!

Thank you! Your comment helped me, you're right i shouldn't be ashamed about it, it's just that there are a lot of childish people around. I'm happy to hear that a lot of people like you are satisfied by their circumcision, i'm sure i will be too

Some people are childish but best just to laugh at them and tell them that you’re glad you’re circumcised. Good luck.

I was always ashamed of mine in public because I had such a long foreskin, like a little boy. Now I'm proud to flop it out at urinals and in changing rooms, done wonders for my confidence!

Hey, i got circumcised on 5 of september, we are almost at the same stage haha. I hope we can share experiences and advices in order to make all of this more easy
