post circumcision tightness

I had a circumcision five days ago as I have had worsening phimosis and the start of Balanitis xerotica. So far it’s been a mixed bag, very little pain for the first few days, seems to be some scaring on the frenulum, no infection, but the thing I’m really worried about is that where the skin is reattached, literally tight up under my glans, it’s tighter than the foreskin was when fully rolled back before the operation. When I look at it there is a visibly narrower collar of skin around the penis below the head, obviously narrower than the rest of the shaft, Is this normal? The surgeon said it was when I queried it after two days, he basically said the skin and glans are what they are, he just attached what I had where he could, which seems over simplistic now I’m reading about high, low, tight slack etc. he never discussed any of this with me. He said he would remove the collar of tight skin which was a couple of cm away from where the foreskin attaches, so I assumed I’d be left with some of the internal skin and a scar part way down the shaft, but it’s all gone, I seem to have been given an extremely low and tight circumcision, which is not what I expected or would have wanted if he’d asked. I just woke up with the first full erection and it was excruciatingly painful, whereas before the procedure pulling back my foreskin behind the glans during erection was only uncomfortable but getting more so over time. I’m terrified the surgeon has completely cocked this up and having sex is going to be extremely painful. Has anyone else experienced this?

the stitches don’t help maybe give erections more time mine got better in second week . Week one was awful I was worried it would be like that forever . As for skin shorter be same as foreskins give illusion if understand right

good to know, the pain last night was a bit less, think there was some tearing the night before that loosened things up, there’s now a gap in the incision but the surgeon said there were stitches under the skin as well as the visible ones so hoping that won’t matter 🤞🏻. I had no idea what to expect, the surgeon totally played the operation down as minor and routine, never once spoke about pain and as much as I expected some from the cut, I didn’t expect there to be tightness given that’s what was supposed to be being sorted!

I know after support is non existent , it’s easy to get anxious about it. My first erection I thought omg is this what it’s going to be like 🫣🫣. But I’m week 3 and now they don’t wake me..I’ve still got quite a few stitches in esp underneath . They can last I read up to 4 -6 weeks. Seems as time goes on things look better. Keep it clean though , I use salt water rinses .. sleeping is my worse complaint stomach sleeper . Even week 3 it’s not an oil painting 🤣..but I see the light end of tunnel a little .

😆 also a stomach sleeper, I’ve had mixed results sleeping on my back but ended up waking up on my front mostly. I’m also bathing in salt water, still pretty stinky but there’s no yellow discharge so I’m hoping it’s ok. 🤞🏻

Get a pillow pop between your legs stops you rolling over. Good no discharge thing i learnt with this is patience and time is the healer. I look forward to the day i dont focus so much on it lol
