Hi guys,
I had my circumcision done on 1st August; I had a pressure dressing applied for 48 hours (well, 45 as that was when my folks were out and I could have the salt bath recommended for removing the dressing). I do not know what method they used (the website says they use the "traditional surgical technique", they don't say dorsal slit or sleeve technique) but I had a kind of red 'ring' behind the base of my glans and the stitched part was behind this. (Note: the ring was my own skin, not a device.) When I got the dressing off, the glans was exposed.
The Friday after, I had a driving job (the first job I did following the procedure) which involved a 90 mile drive there and back (I drive big trucks, artics/semis) and helping load the goods onto the trailer using a pallet roller. When I stopped for a break on the way back, I went to the toilet and found that my glans was now mostly concealed which it had not been when I showered that morning. Basically the end was visible but not much else and I could get it out but that involves pulling on the penis which hurt, as the wound is nowhere near healed. The 'ring' I mentioned had been very swollen and would brush against my legs when I sat down, but now the swelling had disappeared.
I contacted the doctor whose team did the circumcision and he said that was nothing to worry about, that the "glans can be covered if you have sunken like penis", which is not something they mentioned to me at the time of the surgery, that "things like this will happen" and to let it heal. I had had a few erections but nothing major; they hurt, I did not *try* to get erect and TBH sex or anything to do with it has been the furthest thing from my mind since this.
Is he right? Does this thing happen often and will it rectify itself during the healing process? I didn't pay £400 for basically an injury to my penis which doesn't even have the desired effect.
