Should I follow up with GP .. or are they normal levels I’m so confused .. would this cause me to be u well had full hysterectomy due to issues gyny related .. on HRT Gel I try and read up on it but I get confused brain fog issues .. have body aches all over anemia cramps .. fatigue . And lots other symptoms too many to list I basically feel bed bound some days . Hep and advice anyone

🤔Is it possible..your symptoms are ‘menopause related’ due to the hysterectomy…with fibromyalgia added to the mix.

It is far better to have a medical opinion on test results..what is normal for one person isn’t necessarily normal for someone else.

Also if you are perimenopausal your hormone levels may look ok on at test, which takes account of one moment in time, but they actually be all over the place.

How long have you been on the gel and how much do you use. It might be a time to review that.

I think you would be in full menopause as you have had a hysterectomy, how long ago was that. There’s a good website called menopausal not mad she also has a HRT group on Facebook called the HRT the truth collective which is very informative.

It sounds like your hormones are unbalanced would be best to see a menopause specialist as some Gps have no clue about Hrt. Have you had your thyroid checked it could be underactive. Also you may need antidepressants along Hrt I have fibromyalgia, underactive thyroid, Anxiety depression and IBS I had hysterectomy years ago I am 69 now and still suffering similar to you. I take Femoston Hrt tablet as I don't absorb the gel or patches properly through my skin. I am paying private at the moment as Gp will not prescribe. I'm waiting for NHS appointment with menopause specialist so hopefully they will listen to me as without it I have no quality of life. Don't get me wrong it isn't a miracle cure but I can live more normaly and cope better with my other illnesses . I do hope you get sorted and feel better soon.x

hi Kes,

I had a full hysterectomy 8 years ago and I’ve been where you are and still don’t feel right.

I am estrogen resistant so cannot take hrt. My thyroid is now underactive and I have now got arthritis due to menopause.

I got sick of fighting for my health and they won as every time I approached the doc for help I was told I had fibromyalgia !

Here I am years on and no answers

That’s exactly how I feel at the minute I am having to battle to get my own answers so I can walk into the Gp surgery and say to them look I did your job for you … so annoying … like tonight I’m sat here with really bad low back pain and stomach pain like really bad period cramps but have nothing down there .. feeling sick .. and so tired ..

have you had your b12, folate, vit d, tah3/4, Irwin test d??? You sound like you may have any one of these. If your serum b12 is lower than 600, you will have back pain, fatigue brain fog.

Below 200 it's beds ridden level of fatigue and brain fog.
