Indoors: I did a speed workout on a steepish incline today. 3 lots of the following: 1 minute at 10K effort, 45 seconds at 5K effort and 30 seconds at mile effort with rest intervals in between. I was sweating and it was challenging but nowhere near as taxing as the long runs. The best news of all is that my groin is feeling a bit better. I haven’t done any weight training for a week and I think that has taken some of the strain away. I have a day’s rest tomorrow and then the big 8 mile run on Friday morning. Starting to feel good again!! Let’s see if my groin withstands the long run.

Great news about the groin. Of course, it could absolutely be the weights, might be worth giving them a miss for another week to see how your groin feels after a good rest.
Good luck for Friday 🍀
