Set out to run 10k. Faffed about with my watch at the 4k point and wasnt feeling relaxed at all and going reaalllllly slowly.
Nearly got run over by a couple of speeding car drivers, and had to dive for the hedge. I think I aged 10 years., scary stuff π«
Anyway, maybe the adrenaline of the near death gave me a second wind, I kept going. The 10k turned into 10 miles...turned my watch off...and then ran another mile. The furthest I've ever run.
Tonight's plan involves a takeaway and a glass of wine. Sod the cooking and cleaning. I'll work out a walking strategy for getting into bed later π

I love your approach to sod the cooking and the cleaning! Just my sort of philosophy. Well done to you on that and the running thing too π
We're related as I originally came from Co. Antrim, so hello π And I have lots of beautiful Tyrone Crystal in the house. Such a shame it went out of business βΉοΈ
I wondered where you were from, not too far from me! Tyrone Crystal was just down the road from me, some friends of mine were glass blowers there too. I think it was trading OK, but the parent company in the US went bang, taking everything down with it. Such a shame.
Well done Teresa , Iβm hoping I can do the Great South Run in around that time. Congratulations on your 10miles πββοΈππ»ππ»ππΎπ₯
