Hello all. I've just ran my last run before I run my half marathon on Sunday! It seems crazy to write that and the nerves are beginning to kick in a little now lol. I know I will do it. I've ran 19k and I've raised money for Macmillan so I also have to! π€£ But I will do it and I know I'll do it because I'm running in memory of my ex who died in October last year and who is the reason I started the 0to5k at the end of December. Who would have thought back then that I'd first of all graduate to 5k, let alone be running 21k! I am so grateful to each of you who have helped me along my journey into running. Maybe as I finish this run I'll start to believe I am a runner! π I add my just giving page not so much to raise funds but to share my story with you, my running friends, who have got me through and no doubt will get me through Sunday too.
Awe Thank you Ted, and thank you for donating. It means such a lot and your words made me emotional. Loss is certainly a motivator at times, as tough as it is in the first instance.
I'm hoping a little bit of nerves/adrenaline will help and a huge dollop of my stubborn nature lol. The 7k route is the worst bit so once I hit Comb it should be ok.... π€£πββοΈ Distance over speed though! X
I think both your Dad and Glen would be massively proud of you for what you have achieved. Youβve trained hard for this and you can do this! Best of luck!
Good luck! Don't go off too fast. HM is great distance, you'll love it. The best part of all with racing a distance for the first time will be that it'll be a PB!
