Leg Uclers and LUPUS SLE.

I have Lupus SLE and Antiphoslipid Syndrome too. On warfarin for life now (20 years) & have recently 2 leg uclers arrived at young age. Anyone know how long approx will a leg ucler take to heal with LUPUS SLE?

Afraid that this is a bit of a piece of string, The steroids of course tend to help healing for most of us by damping down the auto immune response, but by doing this they interfere with normal immune response to a bacterial infections. Best speak to your doctor about this one.

Thank you Thaddeus for your answer, it is much appreciated. I have asked my own GP and the Doctor in clinic and their answers has been the same it all depends on the individual and the rate that their body takes to heal. I've had this ulcer for ten weeks now but another smaller one as appeared. I guess I've just got to keep going with the Inodine compression bandages. Although someone else in clinic has stated distilled Mukka Honey plasters which can be bought over the internet and are very quick at healing without causing any harm to the immune system, warfarin, or any steroids. So, I'll doing a little more research on that topic I think. Many thanks once again for your help.
