Hi, there that's not good at all:( Is it worth going back to the GP and checking if there is also anything under lying like an infection or do you need a steroid injection if you are in a bad flare up. Do you have a rheumy nurse you can call for advice? You will probably know that you have to be extra kind to yourself when you are in a flare up, lots of sleep/rest, healthy foods and a slowed down schedule (pajama days if needed).

I hope this flare up eases real soon and when I had a bad flare up recently I called the NHS direct and saw the out of hours GP. I have also visited A&E over Christmas too.

Take care xx

Maybe you have made yopurself stresses out or ate something thats cause a flare up this happens to me i eat watercress i get pain EVERYYWHERREE! then if i get myself stressed out the same thing happens and it lasts for a long time. As said before maybe you need a steriod injection, really when im like this i dont get out of bed i no that sounds lazy but im in pain that i cant do anything anyway its important to get a good nights sleep, eat healthy and rest when your in a flare.

Hope it helps

Danielle

hello jojom

when you have a flare its such a bitch to live with,my flare also makes me very tearful and sometimes you can feel like its never gonna end and coping for one week is tough coping for three is unbearable as there is only so many days you can have a bed day.

i work so i get very stressed when i have to phone in and say i cant come in, but stress just makes you more tearful and then flares last longer and then you feel worse.

but i feel for you honey maybe you need to make a trip to GP and let them just check you out it might make you feel better just knowing its a lupus flare and rest is all you need.

I bought Some radox bath soaks, they have a Sleep one, muscle soak and stress relief. THey worked a charm for me. Sounds like your not on the right pain relief maybe? I was on the slow release tramadol but they just didn't work fast enough for me and when they kicked in they didn't help much, made my jaw clench and I usually got stressed Coz they made me wanna clean up! I went to my gp and She gave me morphine and that isn't working much better but it starts working in 20 mins instead of the 3 hours I had to wait for the tramadol! MIght be worth going to see them and discussing What you could try? I also use deep heat like moisturiser lol hot waterbottles on my feet and back. Hot chocolate for really bad days :) and don't be too hard on yourself you need to relax when your flaring, listen to your body Coz pushing through will only make it worse! XXX

Hey,

i'm feeling a bit fed up this week! came home on monday with a banging head and sorethroat and still feeling ill today. The worst is the fatigue. Sometimes you dont know if its a flare up or a infection? was suppose to go back to work today but just couldnt make it in. :( The worst thing is you look so normal no one would even think you were sick!

I'm going to see a GP today not my normal one. lets see what he says.

But you take care and just take things easy. easier said than done I know.

All my love

Shaheda
