I have the flu also, last time I had it,it took three months for

me to shake it but,I never did find out wether that was because of the Lupus. Will have to ask reumy at my next appointment,no good asking my GP.Hopefully you have a GP that is Lupus aware and will be able to tell you.Good luck.

Last time I took the flu it took a few days longer than normal to go away and I am sure that it did the same with my lupie friend. I would get in touch with your gp and explain your predicament and see if you can have antibiotics or something else to help. Take care and I hope you have a lovely day, free of flu!! :-) Lx

Was it Flu or a heavy cold,as there is a big difference, and have you had a flu jab? if not get 1

If it was flu it then depends on whether or not you also have a flare.

My advice take it easy as getting married is stress full, take deep breaths

and enjoy your wedding day,Congrats to you both

Flu does seem to take longer to shake when being a Lupie! I now have the annual flu jab, ask your GP if you can have it too, it makes winter a bit easier to deal with. x

I had a heavy cold a few weeks ago and just cannot shake off the remnants of it. As Lupus is an auto immune disease, then anything you get will be magnified. If it does not get better soon speak to your GP or local Pharmacist as I am sure that they will be able to advise you.

For me, I am dreading the possibility of getting the flu.

Hope that you improve soon and that the wedding goes well.

My Dr. recommended Mucinex for a bad chest cold. I usually know witthin a few days if I am any better. If not, I either see or call my Dr.

Best of luck to you on your upcoming marriage! I'm sure you'll have a special day full of memories for years to come.
