Oh what joy......

Had a very painful foot for some time now, but it was getting worse. Blamed it on our Lupi friend as you do with anything that hurts.

Today decided to consult the doc and the xray showed a broken bone.

Hmm, I humbly apologise to L.

Best wishes to all

My feet are my bugbear. Particually my right one, it bloody hurts. It has been bothering me for years.

It stops me walking any distance.

I get referred to a podiatrist and am given a pair of insoles that help a bit, but not enough to make a real difference.

The DWP does not want to give me mobility.

Next time i see the rheumatologist i am going to ask for an xray.

hi melinda i had to go to a tribunal yesterday and any trauma that i had before was compounded by the experience. i have a terrible time walking. what with having a daughter with special need that i care for. i have to go out and do the shopping and the housework as best as i can. awarded nothing for mobility. in despair about the whole thing. good luck and dont give up x

How on Earth did you manage to break your foot and not notice?? What are the doctors doing about it, don't completely forgive lupus, it might affect the healing process, it cd take slightly longer. But what a relief, no?

lol,doc thinks it's osteoporosis, made worse with lupus and meds. will have my bone density checked shortly.

I did this with my metatarsal a couple of years ago. My foot had been getting worse & worse & I just blamed the RA, lupus & MCT. Popped in & had it xrayed while on my ward rounds 1 day & turned out it had been broken 4 at least 3 years & had pushed another bone out of place lol! In my case the lupus WAS 2 blame partly as after having a stroke at 16, I still have a lot of weakness on my right hand side & years of wear & tear from stubbing my right foot from not being able 2 lift it properly when I walk had slowly caused the bone 2 fracture & eventually completely break. Bloody typical! At least u know now & they can hopefully sort out ;0) x
