Hello lovely people. I have not posted for a while because honestly there was nothing positive to say. This year has been tough as well as health issues. We have lost both our beautiful cocker spaniels who were our only family.
Well after a month of grief and utter misery we have a new family member. His name is Finlay and he is just the most beautiful, loving, happy little boy. My house is a mess but my heart is full of love. Neil has just been sent to Let’s at Home to get teething Kongs as the leg of the coffee table, my rug, his bed and Neil’s slippers have taken a bashing. Welcome to chaos and joy and we are loving every minute ❤️🐾🐾

I haven't posted for ages either, but I just had to when I saw this gorgeous picture. I'm so sorry for the loss of your lovely dogs, and hope that this beautiful little one will help you to heal. She looks very much like our lovely Lola did as a puppy. Enjoy her, and look after yourself.
Thank you so much. This year we had the ceiling down, the bathroom ripped out, my hubby had a heart attack, then Brodie became ill and three days later was gone of kidney failure, then Dylan had a tumour in his testicles, then a tumour in his small intestine which turned out to be T cell lymphoma. I have had so many falls too and horrible ulceration. A year that we needed to end well. Finlay is a little boy. He is into everything, we have laughed more in two days than we have all year. We have to take happiness where we can and my face is aching today from smiling xx
Thank you Carol. Our boys were our world, to lose one was bad but both was devastating. I am certain this Little ball of energy will tire us out but we will be so full of joy xx
Many years ago I lost 2 girls, months apart so I can totally relate to the heartache. I'm sure Finlay will bring so much joy and his own little personality to fill your hearts ❤️🐕❤️
The grief is just terrible isn’t it? I have just ordered him a snuffle Mat, a lick Mat, teething chews and a lovely little elephant so he should be fully stimulated tomorrow and hopefully leaving the leg of my coffee table alone xx
i'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful boys. But you can take some comfort knowing they had a wonderful long life with you and Neil as loving parents.

Thank you Meg. The loss of Brodie and Dylan was devastating. We loved them dearly. We just got lower and lower each day with little purpose so we decided we need some joy. Finlay is LFT out now having pooped o every clean surface and fastidiously avoided the carpet of puppy pads . He has stolen my washing up brush, ran off with a tea towel, attacked the sunflowers, dug up weeds, tried to eat the bird food in the garden that had been knocked off the bird house, chewed a hole in the recycling bag, and tore around trying to be brave. He is a delight and he has crashed out now. Phew I had forgotten how delightful puppies are. He loves a cuddle too and woke me with a complete face wash this morning. We love him already . I hope you are doing as well as you can lovely? Xx
He has the zoomies this morning and it is pure joy. As soon as one of us moves he is racing full pelt after us. We were shattered last night and picked him up and put him on the bed as he wouldn’t settle. All three of us crashed out for six hours solid and no accidents. He is just scrumptious ❤️
Thank you Mollie yes us too, scratch marks, scuff marks, chewed corners, garden holes all with their own stories which will eventually make us smile when we remember. Dogs make a house a home ❤️🐾🐾

Glad life is looking up for you after a challenging year. It’s good to be able to laugh. I have no children, my dog who passed last year to kidney issues was my world so I understand what yr feeling. Just wanted to mention Grannicks organic Bitter apple spray as a deterrent for Finlay which our vet recommended. Amazon sell it. Natural product & Harmless to dogs but works really well. Our dog only tasted a couple of times, stopped him more or less instantly. Worked a treat and worth £8!! 😉
I am so sorry for your loss. The pain is just awful I know. They can never be replaced but we can smile again. I hope you get a new companion too. Life is always better with a dog ❤️🐾🐾

Oh my he is just gorgeous what a beauty❤️ I can’t imagine how you have been feeling with all that going on. But now it’s onwards and upwards because that bundle of joy will keep you both busy and definitely happy! I remember when we got our 2 boys omg the house was a mess constantly and we were forever replacing things all the time - walls, flooring ………😄 Enjoy Finlay ❤️🐶🐾 Be happy ❤️
Thank you so much. I am hoping that Finlay will help me strengthen my legs. Tearing my hamstring then my meniscus has been a nightmare, so many falls but gradually I am starting to walk again, it is slow but steady up to fifteen minutes without a rest now. He has the zoomies this morning. Crazy, happy little boy . Lots of love to you too. I hope that life is being kind to you? Xx
Thank you so much. Yes honestly I prefer animals to a lot of people. Finlay is having zoomies this morning, stealing socks as we do the laundry. Pure joy and belly laughs that we have not experienced for months. Your kindness also makes me smile so thank you too ❤️🐾🐾
Oh what a terrible , heartbreaking time you’ve been through. I’m so sorry to hear about your dreadful year. These furry friends weave their way into our lives and leave massive paw shaped holes in our lives and hearts. I was totally bereft my beautiful boy passed away.
Finlay will help you heal & fall in love again - he’s looks just adorable & full of fun & mischief. Exhausting but oh so worth it. 🥰
Thank you Ann. I have done more in a day already than usual. I am not in his good books now as I have cleaned his ears and bathed him but Daddy is cuddling him in an electric throw. He is not spoiled at all lol xx
Thank you so much Kat. He has had his first bath and is now happily bringing leaves in from the garden and dragging puppy pads out in their place. He has a beautiful temperament, not at all phased by household noise and he loves everyone he meets. How are you doing lovely? I am almost afraid to ask, any update on the car? 🙏🏻🤞🏻 Xxx

I have good news too 😁I'm hoping in a couple of weeks I'm gonna get my car!! The third choice n I'm expecting it to be in the garage on 12 th November. I'm reluctant to post just yet..just in case but girl when I get this motor we are gonna party!! Get your best frock ready!! 😜

The loss of your two boys with everything else going on is horrific, but I am so happpy that you found darling Finlay. He has definitely found the best parents ever. I can hear the joy he has already given you in your posts. It is so wonderful. When Gigi came into our lives, just showig up, people told me they could see a difference in me. Pumpkin and Gigi are truly what keep me going and I know that is how it is for you and your furr babies also. And yes, they make us laugh. Enjoy every cuddle and lick. You can never get enough. I bet Brodie and Dylan are watching and so happy for you as well.
Thank you I hope they understand that we will never stop loving and missing them. Finlay has a completely different personality. My boys were robust and wonderful, Finlay is quite delicate. I have just spent half an hour in the garden with a ball to tie him out and hope for a 💩 sadly I wore out first and no 💩. I laughed out loud this morning, a Facebook memory from ten years ago came up, it said “ my balance is poor, my dexterity is shocking and I am sat on the loo with Brodie and Dylan attached to my knickers.” The joys of loving a dog ( or cat) xxx
