My GPs have pretty much all been either clueless or keeping a distance. When I showed up a few years ago at the surgery hardly beeing able to walk and with severe weight loss due to muscle wasting and stomach inflammation, they didn't bat an eyelid and seemed a bit puzzled when I asked to be weighed and also asked to be referred to a nutritional therapist.

They also performed a massive cover-up operation prior to this when I asked several times for a doctor to come to see me at home as I was extemely unwell and could barely even walk around the house.

They fobbed me off by prescribing Diclofenac over the telephone, which greatly exacerbated my condition.

On the third try, they eventually agreed and then spoke to me as if I was crazy to leave it so late. I ended up in hospital and had to have a blood transfusion, where I was abused and treated like an anorexic.

The ward manager also wrote to my GP a couple of days after my admission, falsely telling them that I had discharged myself from hospital, so who knows what they might have been planning to do with me. It was probably only the fact that my partner kept showing up that I got out alive.
