someone suggested to me it might be my medication, i am taking prednisilone, methotrexate, plaquenil and citalopram. Anyone else on these meds have a yellow tongue, also i notice it looks worse on days im not feeling well, feel a bit daft mentioning it to my rheumatologist.

Does anyone else have a yellow tongue
im also on the same meds as you Tracey & saw an ENT consultant a week ago, he told me that it is the prednisolone that cause's this, i find using Corsodyl mouthwash really helps with the 'yellow' tongue it should clear this up for you, dont feel silly telling your rhuematologist any of your problems, sometimes meds can cause more harm than good!
hope this helps
thanks pollywolly, will give the mouthwash a go x

Hi Traceyjean,I don't think you are daft mentioning it (yellow tongue) to your rheumatologist.I think if I were to be in your shoes,I either tell my rheumatolgist or GP.Everyone reacts to medications differently then you can take it from there.
I remember having a bad reaction to azathioprine I was placed on in 2009,I had massive ulcers on my legs that refused to heal for 6 months;dermatologist worked along side with my rheumatologist , GP and community nurses.
I hope you get sorted
Caroline
thanks caroline, i will mention it to my rheumatologist nxt week x
